Candlewood Suites Galveston by IHG is a very clean and recently remodeled hotel, offering comfortable and comfy rooms with extremely comfortable beds and the best pillows. The rooms are nice and include a full-size refrigerator, a two-burner stove, and a kitchen for cooking. Guests note the incredible shower water pressure and ice-cold air conditioning. The hotel features a very nice and clean pool area with a comfy sauna, as well as a really nice and actually working workout room. The location is loved for being close to everything on Galveston Island but away from the busy beach traffic and heavy crowds, with stores within walking or driving distance. The hotel is also pet-friendly. Many guests found the staff to be super friendly, welcoming, courteous, and treating them like family, with management described as welcoming. The experience is often pleasant, with the hotel smelling good and having plenty of parking. Some guests felt the hotel was a little expensive for the location and noted that room service was lacking, requiring guests to handle their own linen exchange. An observation was made that the pool was sometimes used by non-guests. Overall, guests report a great stay, would definitely recommend it, and state they will never stay anywhere else.
The best customer service ever. Staff went above and beyond. Every part of the hotel was ver clean. Full kitchen in every room. Pool, office space with printer, and a little place to buy food and drinks. Free coffee 24 hours a day by the lobby or you can make your own coffee in your room.
