“To be honest, I booked this spot in error via influence of a Groupon. My intention was to book the other Axe spot in Grand Prairie. But this place really worked out, nonetheless.Extremely kind young lady working the cash register and doing demo. She even brought out what we called a "baby axe" for my tiny human and for me (recovering from major surgery). You don't need to be an athlete. You don't need to be a lumberjack. You just need to show up with a good attitude, ready to have a blast with friends. Some drawback about booking this place instead of the other in GP is that the "Smash Space" where you crush glass bottles, break electronics, get all your aggressions out in a fun way - is right in the middle of throwing lanes. The sound is so scary/loud/intense that they offer axe throwers ear plugs when/if that space gets used during your stay. That's very unpleasant. But people typically only stay in that space smashing everything in sight for about 20-40min.In true SoccerMom style we brought in snacks on snacks on snacks. Also, it's BYOB so juice boxes or whatevs. Wings, pizza, sushi were also items we brought and your throwing lanes have tables and chairs. So, everything worked out. There are 4-5 arcade games available free of charge for your leisure use during your rental time. Shuffle board is on the back wall, while not full size, it's still a great way for non-throwers to be competitive.Would we go back? Sure. It was a perfect location for PALentines.”

“We had an amazing night celebrating my daughters quinceañera. The DJ was amazing, the cake was delicious. I felt stress free during my event because everyone at Jefferson event center handled everything for me. Every staff member I spoke to made me feel like family they truly went above and beyond.”

“For anyone with a disability or recovering from surgery, this is the place to go for accessible swim and fitness opportunities. They have a zero entrance pool entry to the ramp that leads to the vortex pool for water walking against a current and to the aqua aerobics fitness side of the pool. There is a pool lift for access to the lap pool lanes. There is a jetted area in the vortex pool but the water isn't warm like the Jacuzzi, which sadly doesn't have a lift to it for those who can't use the steps there. For equipment, there is a section right outside the swimming pool area where there are machines like you would see at a rehab place for physical therapy, which includes a wheelchair treadmill, recumbent stepper, recumbent elliptical, and two upper body ergometers (aka arm bikes). This place is serious about inclusion.”

“We had been planning on coming to Epic for awhile, but wanted to give it some time to calm down from initial year or two worth of busy. As well we had hoped to come on a non-busy day. We lucked out going on New Years day. When you walk in there is a bag check. You can bring in sealed water bottles but other outside food isn't allowed, with certain understandable exemptions. They serve various food inside, but based on the FAQ it seems like if you could leave and come back in theory. We just made sure to eat before we went, and got food after we left. There was a little bit of a line but that was to redeem groupons. We had gotten our tickets on their website because the groupon didn't work out for the number of people we had with us. We ended up being able to go right up to a side counter to check in. The lady working ended up giving my kiddo a 24 point game card. My kiddo ended up playing a VR game and two ticket games that earned him some candy from the counter. Once inside, and with us being there for about 3 hours, it wasn't busy the day we went. They have a number of slides ... two look like multiple riders, a racing ride, and 3 single riders based on my count. There is a play area, and area with basketball nets, and a lazy river. Unfortunately the wave pool is outside, so it is only open during what is normal outdoor water park season. All of the staff we interacted with were nice and on top of safety. The only issue I could think of was that the music choices had a whole lot of unbleeped curse words. Would be fine if it was a teen or adult night, but interesting choice when most of the clients were kids around 10 and under with their grownups. Only reason I point it out is I don't want staff being yelled by an upset parent because someone didn't think about the curse words. Pricing ... if you can get a groupon if it works for your group size. For there being 3 of us going it was $132. Cheaper than a room at GWL during peak times, but I've also gotten a room there for around that price if not less during non-peak times and rooms include up to 6 passes. (I haven't tried doing the day passes at GWL.) So, for me its a bit more of what you are looking for in timing and effort.”

“Attended the first Subiefest Texas on 9/10. Had a great time! Watched some amazing Autocross, and enjoyed all years and models of Subaru vehicles. From bone stock to wildly modified, they were all there. Had a great vendor turnout as well. Subaru invited Scott Speed and Bucky Lasek out for autograph meet and greets, plus allowed them to show off their awesome skills behind the wheel. Thanks to the metroplez area Subaru dealers for the hydration stations and freebies! Had a great time, made lifetime memories. Can't wait for Subiefest 2024!”

“I came with family to a comedy show . Located in Grand Prairie Texas. Vip parking was great. Right outside the theatre's doors. Speedy entry. Only small purses allowed. Concession only on one level. Very overpriced. One restroom section located on main floor. Seating in theater was better width than most venues. Jumbo Trons were showing which always makes a good show. Picture and sound were great.Comedians were hilarious. Gary Owen, Luenell, Bruce Bruce, Deon Cole. No lines leaving theater. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area”
