Jenn was incredibly patient and knowledgeable testing my feet, pronation and how I walk/ran. The first pair of shoes she suggested were literally the best pair of shoes I’ve ever felt and perfect for me. I did try on others to be safe. But am extremely impressed how she nailed it first try on what would be perfect for me. I ran collegiately and have never talked to someone so knowledgeable when it comes to finding the right shoe. “I brought an exchange that was months old, thinking they wouldn’t allow me to change the size. The girl helping was super nice and went out of her way to help me. The girl at the cashier knew what she was doing (well trained), and even though the new item was double the price of my old, she worked it out as an even exchange. What can you not find an Academy that you’re looking for from outdoor experience. all the shoes you can think of the outside clothes that are available. “Love shopping here for my athletic apparel! Their staff is super helpful. Leggings from this a brand are so snug and but the problem being different styles vary in the sizes greatly. And the material is tailored for workouts and is breathable. However, I'd appreciate if they introduce cotton leggings! Can't beat that comfort offered by cotton! Their tops are cute and there is something for everyone! I'm a repeat customer :)”

“I like Champs! Been shopping here for years! Great variety of shoes, shirts, athletic shorts/pants, and caps. Also carry some crocs and socks. Has gotten a little pricey, but that's the name of the game for brand name gear. My missing star is due to the customer service. 90% of the staff are young adults who don’t know how to communicate face to face with people and do not understand what customer service is. Corporate needs to provide training, and this is not my first experience.”

But the cashier looked like she was in a bad mood, no friendly customer service, and a bad attitude, and she didn't bag our sneakers. I was disappointed didn't get her name, but she was in the exchange lane girl with glasses.She needs to go to customer service classes. That was so disappointing ?”
“I came to this location to grab a new pair of Brookes running shoes a couple weeks ago and when I got to the shoe section it was incredibly busy with only one employee working the area. Let me tell you this employee busted her butt and gave some of the BEST customer service I have seen. While other employees were around the store talking amongst each other this girl was assisting well over 10 people and grabbing each person multiple shoes. We, the customers, were talking amongst each other and were so impressed with this girl and how she was HUSTLING to make sure she was helping everyone and checking in with them. One customer went to find help for the girl but the poor kid looked like he didn’t know what to do. This girl had it down and picked up the slack of her coworkers. Unfortunately I did not get her name but she did amazing and deserves a raise and kudos to her for her amazing customer service. I made sure to let the manger know as well how great she was and I left with a new pair of shoes.”
“Academy Sports of Potranco Village is an informative and organized location. Jose stood out to me as one of the most helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable employees in all of customer service. Though sometimes, they do try to sell the Academy card a little too hard, which can be frustrating. Overall, I recommend this location for anyone in the market for Sports and Outdoors stuff.”
