“Stumbled across this very small store while I was just driving around. It takes you back a few years to when the Mom and Pop neighborhood convenience stores existed. Inside, there's a freezer case with some unusual contents for a small neighborhood grocer...different kinds of homemade Gumbo are what caught my eye. The prices are a little steep but when you get it home, you won't be disappointed. The roux is a little lighter than I like my seafood gumbo but the flavor is spot on and it definitely is NOT lacking in content. Blue crab, snow crab, shrimp, scallops...it was delicious and I'll definitely go back for more...The best I've had outside of Houston. WHAT A LUCKY FIND!”

“They carry coffe mate caramel creamer, low sugar ice cream that doesn't taste like doodoo and sugar free lemonade that doesn't leave a terrible aftertaste. Usually I can find some fair sale prices on fresh meat. The cuties are getting smaller and smaller for the same price. Cashiers are always friendly. Everybody seems a little perplexed about recyclable bags that I bring from home. Store brand prices compare to Walmart and I think their store brand is high quality.”

“My hometown is Giddings although I have not lived there since 6th grade and moved to the Houston area, we always stopped here whenever we visite Giddings for events with relatives still living, I now live in the Galveston, Texas City area and occasionally make the trip to buy the pork & beef sausage or by a case of 50 lbs for birthdays, quinces, weddings it's the best tasting sausage i've found in Texas and I have tried many whenever I drive thru some of the other named places and none beat the taste it has little fat so you have to watch it when you put in the pitt or oven. love it with scramble eggs breakfast tacos. Service is always great and the price is reasonable. most other popular sausage links run 7.99 or 8.99 a pound where this place is under 5.00”
