Acacia Food Mart is a beautiful restaurant and small grocery shop offering Arab and Islamic options. It is a halal butchery and grocery where you can find everything, especially Turkish food. The product shelves are not flashy but are affordable and most importantly halal, allowing customers to find every product they are looking for. The bakery at the back of the food mart is exceptional. The aroma upon entering is insane, leading directly to trays and trays of different kinds of baklavas in the display cases. The baklava is sold by the pound and is not too sweet, but awesomely good. Favorites include the cold baklavas with hazelnut or pistachios, eaten straight from the fridge, and the Diyarbakir Burma with pistachio for its good texture contrast. The bakery also sells baked rice pudding in a small rectangle aluminum tray, which is baked well and not overly sweet. Other than sweets, the bakery sells breads too. It is a place that reminds visitors of a Turkish bakkal’s big version and is popular with the Turkish community.
