On sale day, the auctioneer really kept things moving along and was entertaining. Christian approached us after the auction and asked if it was our first time buying (it was) and asked how we enjoyed the experience and welcomed us back anytime. Mike and Melvin Jr. were super helpful getting our bought items loaded securely and safely for our trip home. Cannot tell you how much we appreciated and enjoyed our day.”

“Great little store!!! This is the type of place you just might find a Mogwai (gremlin). Just make sure you don’t feed it after midnight. This shop was a breathe of fresh air when we were out and about. It is even located next to a dinner. Both are something out of a novel. So do yourself a favor and stop by to do a little shopping or just looking. You will not be disappointed. It was like walking back into the 50’s. I loved it. Thank you the great memories and we will definitely be back again soon.”

I found Dan’s Custom Woodworking nearby in the Heights and had a great experience. They took a few minutes on the phone to talk it through, kept everything straightforward, and had me drop the doors off. Turnaround was quick (done within a day or two) and the price was very reasonable. It’s an old-school shop in a good way—no overcomplication, just solid craftsmanship. While I was there, I saw some of their other work, including really impressive custom wood doors, plus what looked like windows and some custom furniture projects. I really appreciate the quality work—would definitely recommend and will keep them top of mind for any future small jobs or bigger carpentry projects. Thank y’all!”
