“Clean, professional, and great work! I was referred by a friend of mine. I definitely wasn’t let down. Randy did my tattoo, took his time with it and was very kind and patient. Thank you guys! I will definitely be back. (I’ll add photos later when my piece is finished)”
“I always receive the best service and high-quality work from JW. Sometimes the frame work makes the artwork look even better. Great prices and fast service too. I’ve never been disappointed in their work.”
“I have been coming here years Great store
Awesome store and very affordable. They have the best selection of African clothing and Black Greek apparel. Go check them out.”
“It was a great venue for the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser which benefits the Houston Food Bank. The Gulf Coast Woodturners Association participates every year and demonstrated turning wood bowls. Ceramic bowls and glass bowls are also donated to the fundraiser by artists.”
“Spring Street Studios is a place where the rubber meets the road in the Houston art scene. Going to Spring Street Studios is never about enjoying the ambience. You go there to see some art and run into people who you might see all the time or you perhaps haven't seen in years. It's a long-time Houston institution. It's a space to keep your eyes on and engage whenever anything interesting pops up. It's where you will start your night so be ready for more fun elsewhere after your visit.”
“I recently hosted a milestone birthday celebration at Bisong Art Gallery, and the experience was truly exceptional.
The space itself is stunning. I chose it for the location, the vibe, and the size, and it exceeded every expectation. The atmosphere there is relaxing and soothing, and from the moment guests arrived, it invited celebration, creativity, and connection. As someone who does not always feel comfortable being celebrated, this space made it feel natural and joyful.
Bisong Art Gallery is a dream for art lovers. The setup was thoughtful, elevated, and beautifully curated. Every person I spoke with commented on how much they loved the space, and the event felt unforgettable in the best way.
I also deeply appreciate being able to support a Black-owned business and celebrate alongside women who are creating spaces like this with excellence and intention.
If you are interested in great catering like what you see in the shared images, or if you are looking for a stellar photographer for an event such as this, feel free to message me. We kept the menu fun and elevated with appetizers made from my favorite comfort foods, including burgers and hot chicken, mac and cheese, pulled pork sandwiches, salads, and more. It complemented the space perfectly.
Huge shout-out to the photographer who captured the night so beautifully. This venue helped make a meaningful moment feel timeless.
If you are looking for a space that blends art, culture, and atmosphere seamlessly, Bisong Art Gallery is it. They even host weddings!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“We loved being able to get our hands messy, laugh together, and watch our creations take shape. It was both relaxing and creative—a rare chance to slow down and truly connect without distractions. My daughter was so proud of what she made, and I’ll cherish the memory of seeing her light up with excitement.”
“This spot always has something neat to look at. I find a lot of my stocking stuffers for my adult children here. I can always find something here. I love seeing people's art”
“One of the coolest places to buy a gift in Houston. Everything is crafted by artists, many who are local. Support your local artists! It’s way more variety than you might guess. Puzzles of Houston landmarks, etc.”
“Large selection of galleries of all types with art of many different shapes and sizes. Open Saturdays are a great way to enjoy and meet the artists as well. Have been multiple times, sometimes leaving with some great art!”
“I follow this talented local Houston artist, Sneha Merchant Art, on Insta and saw that she was showcasing her work at Reeves Art Gallery. I had the opportunity to see her art in person and I was absolutely blown away! ✨
Instagram reels are one thing, but seeing her paintings up close is a whole different experience. Her technique and use of color are truly incredible. I even got myself one of her smaller pieces and hope to add one of her larger works to my collection soon!”
“Constantly hosting amazing art parties. Depending on the show some are kid friendly and others may cater more towards adults. Each show is unique in its own way but is always a fun experience”
“small, but nice to see. i really liked the outdoor area.
free admission and parking. i had to direct to a nearby business to find the parking lot though since I'm not from the area and it was a little confusing to find.”
“I stumbled upon this place by accident and I couldn’t have been happier that happened. We were greeted by Mauricio. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. This gallery has some incredible work! I loved the pieces that have of Botero! I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the market for some fine art.”
“Walking into Casa Ramirez is like a blast from my past. If you are of Mexicano/Tejano heritage, you will definitely find something in here that relates to your childhood. Your abuelita and your parents definitely had some of these items floating around their house. I love to visit this place for the memories it brings but also to support a local business paying homage to authentic Mexicano/Tejano culture.
There is a vast selection of items from art work, cookware, home items, clothing, games and books. The service is good. They will mostly leave you alone to peruse the items but will occasionally make conversation with you and answer any questions you have.
Even if you are not familiar with Mexicano/Tejano culture, do not let that deter you from visiting this quaint gift shop. You may find exactly what you’re looking for.”
“Such a great company. I came in last minute needing a work framed and Greg was extremely kind and helpful. This place is a gem - prices are very reasonable and everything is great quality”
“It was my first time coming here today. The staff was very kind and attentive I loved the atmosphere and the vibe of the pikachu exhibition it was something truly different. I would definitely come back!”
“Love to see moribund churches being repurposed into something beneficial to the community!!! When a friend had a play here, we jumped at the chance to come and show support! The place is still very much looking like a church on the outside (the sign is just a banner for now), but the space is very large and there are numerous bathrooms, which are both huge pluses! Our event had a bar and food for sale. The sound system was awesome! There were many volunteers to help, but getting in and getting tickets needed a bit of work. Overall we had a great time here & recommend the space for all sorts of events!”
“This is a fantastic place to take friends, to meet creatives, to get inspiration and to enjoy Namelesssound live performances when they happen.
It's a multistory gallery with frequent rotations of artists and their works.”

“My art teacher, professional artist Chu Okoli, referred me to John to try custom framing. At New Art, John works unpretentiously with me to choose styles of framing that I want: without or with mats and what sizes and colors, what thicknesses for the mouldings. When I forget yet again, he explains the differences between regular, non-glare, UV protective, and museum quality glass. Today John mentioned acrylic as an option instead of glass because a picture of mine had fallen off the wall, its glass shattering. The craftsmanship at New Art is excellent: Chu took the photograph here of his watercolor of my parents to show John’s work to his colleagues, saying, “It’s so clean!” At New Art, the prices are affordable and the turnaround is quick. The customer service is professional, with John being genuinely kind.”
“The Hub for high-end decor. Everything from rugs to furniture, lighting, and more. This space is also used as a venue. You can host events for over 300 guests here”
“I recently visited Off the Wall Gallery and it was an amazing experience. The art they had displayed were unique and intriguing. The staff was friendly and courteous. They stayed with our group to give us a brief history of some of the art and artists we were interested in. I highly recommend looking into this gallery if you are in the market”
“Lee has been framing pictures for us since the 90's. He is professional, meticulous, and reasonable. You will love his attention to detail. Thank you Lee for your service!”
“On my recent trip to Houston I visited several galleries to get an idea of what's happening in art there. In this gallery I had the great pleasure of meeting both the curator of their summer show and the gallery owner herself. In New York, gallerists and gallery workers ccannot typically be bothered with a visitor unless they have mountains of cash to spend on the art. My experience in the Barbara Davis gallery was very much the opposite. They were engaging and interesting and it resulted in a wandering conversation that touched on a number of things about both the art on view and collecting in general. If you're in Houston to see art, don't forget this stop. The work on the walls made an excellent case for Houston's art scene and, if you choose, you'll likely have some good discussion.”
“I just wanted to say what an absolute pleasure it was working with Simpson Galleries. I was a bidder through LiveAuctioneers, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. From the close of the auction to delivery in Georgia, it took just a little over a week, which was incredibly impressive.
The lamp is even more beautiful in person than it appeared in the photographs, and I truly couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Thank you so much, Simpson Galleries, for such a wonderful experience!”
“Perimeter Art's framed article feature surpassed my expectations and exudes sophistication. I couldn't be happier to showcase their stunning work. Thank you for your outstanding craftsmanship!”
“Great contemporary art gallery in the downtown area. Cardoza is friendly and easy to talk to about the artwork and anything else. Represents some cool artists too!”
“Celebrated my 40th birthday here and had a wonderful time. What an amazing experience for my guest. The communication and support throughout from the Modern Ink team was great”
