“My partner and I stopped by and it was amazing! Reminded me of the book store by Ohio State. It was really cool! It was so much bigger on the inside. It felt like we were in a wizard’s library or something you would find in a Ghibli film. We were pleasantly surprised. The ladies up front helped us find exactly what we were looking for and were really sweet. Highly recommend if you are looking for vintage books. “A fantastic experience!I had this store on my To Do list for a while and found myself in the area, so I decided to stop by on a whim. It looked dark from the street, but the signage clearly marked it as open, so I parked next door in the lot for a business for lease. (Note: there's parking behind the store for Kaboom patrons). I walked into this charming and crowded space with a couple that was donating books.I wasn't looking for anything in particular, so I was wandering sort of aimlessly when an energetic and obviously busy woman took the time to ask if she could assist me. I choked out "Women's Literature?", sort of noncommittally. She was brilliant, returning with two books, one from a brilliant author I've read before and love, but don't always think about while I'm at the bookstore, and a lighter tone option from a brand new to me author.That's what my ideal visit to a used bookstore looks like. I can't wait to go back and get more excellent recommendations.”

“I usually like it here, but yesterday 7-2-2025, I came in by myself before it was time to meet my 18 year old daughter next door for lunch. I spent $10 on candles, met my daughter for lunch, and then came back in with her. There was a woman working who id never seen before, and she was ok to me when I was in there alone but as soon as she saw me come in with my teenage daughter, she had a massive attitude and was giving us dirty looks. Not sure what we did. My daughter ended up spending $60 on rocks. Check your attitude, lady.”

“Okay, so not so Jumbo when you see the place, but it is packed with all typos of Judaica. Just don't be shocked when you see how small the place is. They have all types of items including toys for babies and kids, cookbooks, talis, novels, jewelry, bar, and bat mitzvah, gifts and items, holiday items, etc. you're bound to find something. The one employee that I've encountered while shopping there is a huge help and very friendly. Both occasions there seems to be a steady flow of shoppers. Do check the times they are open.”

“We have been going here for almost 20 years now - back when they were off of Judiway St in Houston. We went to our first informational meeting for homeschool in 2004 in their store. So thankful for the Swirsky family during those early years and glad they have withstood the test of time. We go at least twice a year to take our used curriculum to sell and purchase new things. Love this place!”

They treat everyone great no matter what color skin you have or how you are dressed. I hope to be invited to do silhouettes in the store. “What a great little find!! I stopped by on Saturday afternoon as a first-time customer looking for gifts for my little 10 year old nephew...Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. The 2 ladies there were very nice and helpful. (Thank you!) The store itself looked small from the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. What a nice variety of items to choose from, and prices to fit any budget. I got everything I needed in this one stop, plus a few little extras! Will definitely be visiting this little jewel of a Catholic Store again!”
