“I love this place. Tristan and Frank (the repair tech) are excellent. They have saved my skin twice now after my iMac's internal hard drive—which I had bought from a separate online custom Mac builder—failed unexpectedly.
The first time the drive failed, I found them online and took my machine in for service, fearing the worst. They quickly installed a new SSD and brought the machine back to life—but unfortunately, I lost my data.
Fortunately, I had a backup—though it was from nearly a year earlier, so I was missing many important files. They recommended a reputable third-party data recovery lab, which I declined at the time due to budget constraints (the lab quoted data recovery at around $2k-$2.5k).
Years later, the newly installed SSD failed again in a similar way—possibly due to hardware or software issues. Luckily, this time, they managed to recover nearly 100% of the data and installed a new SSD. After leaving it with them for a week, the machine is now stable and working.
Fingers crossed it stays that way after this service—only time will tell. Luckily, they performed a range of diagnostics, benchmarking, and stress tests on the hardware before returning it, ensuring there were no immediate issues.
It's great to have such a fantastic Apple-specialist shop in the greater Houston area. The store is clean and organized, and the staff is very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional—offering fast and reliable service. I plan to buy my next Mac or MacBook here if I upgrade.

“My 14-year-old desktop Mac kept shutting down unexpectedly. I took it to Experimax who informed me later that it was basically DOA. I couldn't afford a new Mac, and they were able to set me up with a 2021 refurbished Mac (with a 1-year warranty) that runs beautifully. They ran into an issue with moving my documents from my old computer to my new one. These folks went above and beyond the call of duty working with Microsoft to figure out why my docs were not transferring. Unfortunately, I did lose some of my docs, but I'm very pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend their services if you're having technology problems with any of your devices.”
“I can't say enough good things about their service. My laptop kept crashing after Windows11. I spent hours trying google search fixes, uninstalling/reinstalling but it kept crashing. Top Tech successfully installed Windows 11 and I have been running it for a few weeks now. I was scheduled to pick it up and they called with a short delay to let me know that Windows had just issued an update and they wanted to install the latest for me. The price was very very reasonable and they kept me well informed.
