T.J. Maxx & HomeGoods is a popular retail chain that has been providing customers with high-quality, brand-name, and designer products at amazing prices since its first store opening in 1977. With over 1,200 stores across 49 states and Puerto Rico, T.J. Maxx is the nation's largest off-price retailer, offering an ever-changing selection of fashions and home goods. While customers generally appreciate the wide range of products and thrifty prices at T.J. Maxx, there are some common concerns regarding the lengthy checkout process. Many reviewers have reported waiting 45 minutes or more to complete their purchases, with the lines often extending all the way to the handbag section. This issue seems to be more prevalent on the T.J. Maxx side of the store, as employees who work strictly on the HomeGoods side are not allowed to assist at the registers. Despite these challenges, the stores are described as spacious and well-stocked, catering to a variety of needs. Customers also praise the hard-working and friendly nature of the HomeGoods staff, who are required to stay until the last customer has left, even if their side of the store is already clean. Overall, T.J. Maxx & HomeGoods offers a unique shopping experience with a wide selection of high-quality products at discounted prices. While the long checkout lines can be frustrating, the stores remain a popular destination for bargain-hunting customers.
There are too...too many people... Always. I don't want to go there often... but I have to go because there are good clothes at good prices.

I love these stores great prices but they're long lines to check out is VERY discouraging. Today 7 out of 14 lanes were open and my wait was still over 45 minutes.

The establishment is quite spacious and well-stocked, catering to a wide range of needs. However, there is room for improvement in terms of staffing, as the lengthy queue at the checkout, extending all the way to the handbag section, resulted in a wait time exceeding 15 minutes.
