Having lived there my entire 64 years, I can promise you that most of what once made Austin special ( the people, the places, and things) has been erased and replaced by upscale and trendy restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs where a pair of jeans and cowboy boots are no longer welcome. And where hipsters and elites sip Mimosas and talk about their shallow lives. Yet still there are a few places left to remind us of Austin’s original charm.
Anyway, it’s nice to have that old feeling at Caddo Lake Outpost. A friendly face is what we came here for and Cindy was obliging. We’ll be back!”
