They have done everything from front end alignments to the evaporator coil on my heavy duty vehicle. Best turn around time and they take care of the vehicle & even washed it for me. If I call them they give me honest & reasonable times they can get the work done. Plus they are open on Saturdays which is the best thing around. “I'm new to auto repair places. I believe that communications with the new customers should be better than what I received. I was told it would be $99 to check out the problem on my vehicle. It actually was $105. The checkout charge was in fact $99.99 or $100 PLUS $5 for shop supplies. I don't understand shop supplies for plugging into the body computer on my vehicle.I can understand "Shop Supplies" for any repair where they are used. BUT, customers should be told ahead of pick up time of these charges. The check out charges are $105 and this is what should be told to customers.Then there is a call back when the vehicle was completed diagnosis. I waited until after 4PM to receive a call. I called Sun Automotive to determine if my vehicle was diagnosised and was ready to be picked up.So 4 stars due to lack of proper communications with a new customer.”

“Incredible service and excellent price. I gave the shop a call when I had noticed by tire pressure gauge turn on, and they told me to come in whenever, no appointment necessary. I’m not exaggerating when I say they had already begun working on my tire before I even stepped fully out of the car. I was in and out in 15 minutes and they fully repaired my tired that ended up having a screw in it. The gentlemen working were extremely friendly and offered me a place to sit and soda while I waited. They also checked the pressure on my other tires and added air. I’d recommend Barrera’s to anyone who asked. Important note though is that they’re cash only, which they will remind you if you call.”

“The only Discount Tire location I take my vehicles to. When I moved to Seabrook in 2019 I needed a tire about 5 minutes before closing. The manager at the time went above and beyond to help me out when it was apparent that they/ employees were done for the day. After closing he let his employees go home and swapped the tire himself. Most shops would just say, "see you tomorrow " but not this location. Move forward to 2021. I needed tires for my other vehicle and was told by others 3 to 5 days. Khema location, can you be here tomorrow morning? Done! Today, made an appointment for rotation and balance. Was in and out in 15 minutes. All done by a crew of 4 techs. Done correctly. Wheels pulled, rotor mounting surfaces cleaned, balanced, softly torqued with an impact, then torque checked with a torque wrench correctly. Polite, professional and reasonable time. To bad Google only allows 5 stars.”

“Great honest people here. It was recommended by locals to La Porte, and I see why. They helped my friend with removing his spare, put a new tire valve stem since it looked old, removed it from the metal wheel/rim to just ensure it was good, lubed it up, mounted it back on the wheel, even sponge cleaned the spare so it didn't look so bad, and replaced the flat. Didn't even charge him....They diagnosed and repaired the original flat tire. It was a cracked rim. Best price, best service. Highly recommend!”
