“After a good hike we always find the “best” burger in whatever town we’re near. We stopped at the Cowboy Bar and the locals all said Pico’s. They said it’s in a gas station but it’s the best burger in town. We are not gas station food folks but when everyone agrees it makes you think. I said let’s pull up and take a look and make a decision. When we pulled up I was like ehhh maybe not but my other half said let’s just do it so we did and while I don’t know if it’s the best burger in town because I haven’t tried any others, it was really good. Everything was freshly made right in front of you. They were good sized burgers and the toppings were plentiful. The fries were fresh and hot and not overly salted. The wait time was appropriate. I even approve of their iced tea and I’m a self admitted tea snob. I give it a 5 star not because I think it’s the best on earth but I have zero complaints. Yes it’s in a gas station. Yes it’s not a brand new gas station but staff were super friendly, the food area appeared clean, the food was good and we, by far, were not the only customers in line. Trust the locals!”

“I'm getting to the point in my life where I'm leaving a review for a corporate convenience store, but I absolutely must give credit where credit is due. Service here is phenomenal with always clean interior, restrooms, and exterior. Pumps work well and I don't feel like my card info is in danger of getting skimmed since the station is manned 24/7. Hanging out here pre-shift for construction jobs is my favorite part of the day.”

“The store was clean when I walked in I first looked at the rolls not appealing so walked around they have a lot of chips, candy bars even have cooked pizza. I went to check out the employee was professional, friendly easy to talk to. If you need gas, snacks, pop, beer or a clean bathroom definitely stop here.”

“Clean facility inside & outside. The bathrooms are fairly clean with tissue products available. The cashier was nice & personable. Decent gas price & easily to access from the street. There are lots of souvenir items in the store, which is also connected to a Burger King. Across the street is a grocery store & Churches Chicken”

“Wanted to give a huge shout out of gratitude to Erin at the convenience store (Shell?) At PR 37 & 1283 last night. My dad & I were out cruising in our 56 Chevy wagon when it overheated. It was somewhere between 9-10 & the Valero we rolled into was closed & the water machine wasn't working. Told my dear old Dad to stay with the car & I'd get us water & a drink. Erin's store was out of gallon water (we were going to pour it outside of radiator to help cool it down) but she came up with a quick easy way for this outta shape overweight 50 year old to hoof it back to the hot car with required cooling fluids for all.Erin, I can't thank you enough for helping me find the best & cheapest solution to my problem. She said she was "just an assistant manager" but she'll always be more than that to me! Hope you're doing well, Erin!!!”
