Rebecca is a tech there that has helped me numerous times to take care of my girls when we have our scheduled visits. Truly thankful for this clinic in all that they do!”
“So thankful for STVO! I was happy to be seen without a primary vet referral. I was nervous about the cost considering its specialty services but was actually shocked it was much more affordable! The new patient fee was $225 and medication for my dogs ulcer was $250. They were able to diagnose him a lot quicker than going to a primary and suggested a 5 day follow up. This return visit was $135. I also very much appreciated all of the great knowledge shared on their site. That alone helped in understanding what treatments were available. Im very happy with the care ive received and happy to know i can go back with confidence knowing they give great advice and estimates of procedures”

“I’ve been going to this vet for the last 2 years and they have been amazing. At my dogs last vet they made him take pills to drug him before appointments but at GNWH he’s never needed that. They have worked with him so amazingly since the beginning. He needs no medications and they are able to do everything! Dr.Johnson has been great to work with!”
“I found this place when it came time to say goodbye to my dog of 14 years. From the first phone call to our final goodbye, this office was professional, kind, and compassionate. Each person that interacted with was so wonderful. They treated our situation, both emotional and financial, with grace. They treated my 9 year old son and I like actual people going through something hard rather than strangers there to pay them, unlike other vets I’ve encountered recently.

“This is a great place staffed by a caring animal lovers. The space itself is large, open and bright. The receptionists are friendly and accommodating. The doctor who saw my cat was so knowledgeable and gave me and my cat her undivided attention. One veterinarian I saw before her appeared to be in a hurry. He was not personable, gave me a quick hello, looked at my cat's lip and was gone. His attendants took care of the rest. I didn't even get to meet one vet in South S.A.. Never even saw her! I went home to wait, my cat was trapped in his carrier for 4 hours and then she called me on the phone and explained to me what was wrong. I had a hard time understanding her since she had a rather pronounced accent. She said I could come and pick up my cat, which I did. I paid the bill and the receptionist handed over my cat. Towne North doesn't operate this way. They truly care about animals' well-being and comfort as well as the owner's satisfaction. I highly recommend them.”

“I took my dog to get fixed. The intake took about an hour, but the savings on the procedure were worth the extra time. ($500 vs $150ish) The staff was very kind and explained everything. My dog was sent home with a cone and a few days of pain medication. It was a good experience and I would definitely recommend taking your pet here.”

“I took my 13 year old dog there today, never been and her reg. vet was full. She had a mass growing on her side. They were so helpful over the phone, I dropped her off. very clean and staff is amazing. When the doctor called me she walked me through recommendations and was clear, kind, and understanding. they have a gentleness and ease there. I will never go anywhere else! they got me in one visit oh, and the fees are explained. Her visit was much less than i thought it would be.”

“Dr. Leland is very knowledgeable & that is invaluable. You want your pet diagnosed properly with the correct treatment, with this knowledge he can also rule out unnecessary testing, his knowledge helps save you time, money & from stress. Some of the other vets nearby are HORRIBLE & will keep you coming back because they can't figure something out or don't prescribe the proper treatment. I never had to wait too long whenever I come here either.”
“Dr. Shannon is the best veterinarian we have ever had. We have a whole zoo at our house, and we trust her with each of our furry family members.
We’ve had our pets go through highs and true lows, and each time we’ve been more than comfortable with their care in Dr. Shannon’s hands. You can tell she loves what she does as well as each of her patients. She goes above and beyond, will literally get on the floor with your pet to make them comfortable, and has kind and patient energy.
We hope we’re able to continue care with her as long as we live in San Antonio. :)”

“Dr. Davis and her staff is amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and so empathetic. We came in due to our baby sulcata tortoise being lethargic. They saw us immediately. Our baby was unfortunately too far gone but we opted to keep trying. They gave him a round of antibiotics and some vials to take home to administer. Unfortunately our little Tortie didn’t make it. They just overall gave us a great experience even when the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for. I got another sulcata and will be taking him back to this office! Pic 1 is Tortie, pic 2 is our Timothy both at the vet office. ❤️?”

“I personally work in the veterinary industry but not at this clinic and I still make the trek across town to bring my pets to this clinic. I have seen both Dr Curtis and Dr Montelongo who have been absolutely amazing. Dr Curtis compassionately guided our family through the final stages of palliative care for our boy Chevy. Dr Montelongo is working with us to ensure that our other senior dog remains cancer free. The technicians are FANTASTIC. My standards for veterinary care are very high and this clinic ALWAYS goes above and beyond. I love this clinic.”
“We visited Guilbeau Station animal hospital for the first time, and I honestly couldn't be more impressed. Wonderful staff !!!!, but Evan truly saved the day. My dog unexpectedly got loose almost ran into the street, nearly getting hit by a car. Evan reacted immediately and stepped in without hesitation, keeping my dog safe. His quick action, calmness, and genuine care meant everything to us. That moment alone showed how much this team truly cares about the animals they serve. Highly recommend this place!!”

“We cannot say enough positive things about Dr. James and her staff. We move to SA a little over a year ago and got our senior Westie established with Dr James based on recommendations from a friend. We sadly had to say goodbye to our little old man three weeks ago at the age of 15, but his quality of life the past year was definitely better because of Dr James and when the time came to say goodbye, she helped us make the right decision and her staff was so caring and supportive. It is still too soon to even begin to think about another dog but when/if we do - we will definitely use Dr James as our vet”
“I want to thank Dr. Stella! She has practically raised my GSD from 8 weeks old and he is now 4. I followed her to this practice and she is so worth it!!!!! GSDs, sweet and family friendly as they may be, come with so many chronic issues. There isn't a single time where I didn't feel heard or my boy's need wasn't addressed with her. Trust me when i tell you, I panic when it comes to him and I need things done right there and then. She has never let me down! Everytime, Dr. Stella and her staff have worked around my crazy schedule to get his needs addressed. She is simply amazing and we're both soooo thankful to have her in our lives! I'm sure you hear this a lot Dr. Stella, buuut thank you soo much!! :)

“Not only do they have the best vet, Dr. Purkey, they have the best vet techs. Specifically, Sarrah, Samara and Gracie. They are some of the kindest and compassionate people we know. When my senior pittie was in her last days, they handled her with love, grace and kindness. she felt that love until the very end. It meant the world to us. Now, with my senior chihuahua, they love her so much, are so gentle and attentive to her. They aren't just vet techs, or friends, we consider them a part of our family. I cannot thank them enough for all they do!”
