246 Fort McKavitt St, MasonWe discovered Texas Hill Country Beer Company completely by chance while driving to the Mason Square Hotel, and we're so glad we did! We've been coming to Mason around this same time every year for the past four years, and somehow this was the first time we noticed it. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.
The beer is phenomenal. Every beer we tried had its own unique flavor profile, and each one was amazing in its own way. You can tell a lot of thought, passion, and craftsmanship goes into every brew. What was even more impressive was how well the different beers complemented each other when combined. We tried a mix of two of their beers, and instead of overpowering one another, the flavors came together beautifully and enhanced the overall experience. Each beer stands out perfectly on its own, but they also create something special when blended together.
Their hard seltzer is equally impressive. They offer a clean, unflavored hard seltzer that's crisp, refreshing, and delicious on its own, while also serving as the perfect base for Belinda's handcrafted cocktails.
The cocktails deserve a special mention because they're unlike anything you'll find at most bars. Belinda makes her own simple syrups and uses fresh, all-natural juices and flavors instead of artificial mixes. Every cocktail is vibrant, refreshing, and full of authentic flavor without the overly sweet, artificial aftertaste that's so common elsewhere.
What truly makes this place special, though, is Belinda and Roy. You can tell they pour their heart and soul into everything they create and into every guest who walks through the door. They've built the kind of warm, welcoming atmosphere that's becoming harder and harder to find. Coming from Austin, where so many places seem designed more for social media than for genuine hospitality, it was refreshing to find a place that focuses on exceptional drinks, authentic experiences, and making people feel welcome.
If you're visiting Mason or exploring the Texas Hill Country, Texas Hill Country Beer Company should absolutely be on your list of stops. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy incredible drinks, and appreciate the passion behind what Belinda and Roy have created.
And as if that wasn't enough, their two friendly dogs are there to greet guests, adding even more charm to an already memorable experience.
This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to coming back the next time we’re in Mason!

804 Fort McKavitt Street, MasonHeading to San Antonio on vacation and we missed our turn for junction and somehow landed here in Mason. And we are so happy we did! The food was delicious and homemade. I would definitely recommend anyone to come eat.
