I have gotten belt buckles, jewelry and etc. This shop is not like any other place. You can spend hours in there looking at all the different things they have to sell. You want to buy a gift for someone. I promise you will find something unique, beautiful, vintage, amazing quality. You will be in just aww.. as you look at everything. They are so very knowledgeable about everything in this place. Plus the price I believe is extremely reasonable and fair.

“Oh my goodness, one of the cutest little home boutiques I’ve visited in such a long time! I found Birds and Words in downtown McKinney, and I absolutely fell in love with it.
The store is so beautifully curated, with so many unique pieces that feel vintage, whimsical, and nature-inspired — basically everything I love! 🐦🌿 There’s something interesting around every corner, and it’s the kind of store where you can spend quite a bit of time just looking at all the little details.
It is a little on the expensive side, but honestly, the selection is so unique and thoughtfully curated that I can understand why. My friends and I ended up buying a few things, and I’m already thinking about what I’ll get the next time I visit.
It’s a little far from me, otherwise I would probably be there all the time! 😂 But whenever I’m in the McKinney area, Birds and Words is definitely going to be on my list. Such a charming and special shop — highly recommend stopping in if you love vintage, nature-inspired, and beautifully curated home decor.”

I love it because it is quality boho chic and all of the candles are made in store! Cocoa the manager (owners dog) is our favorite to play with. The staff is always great when I come in! “A Friend of Nan's had came into my work and mentioned she does engraving and my engagement ring was broken and had to be re engraved. The lady politely said she doesn't work with jewelry and told me about Nan. So I contacted Her via email of her site and she reached out to me very quickly. She had me come to her shop in Mckinney and I showed her my ring. She told me to contact the company that made my ring first to see if they would replace it. The company told us they wouldn't do anything for us. So I let Nan know what they said. She told me she was worried my ring would break even more with being repaired so she told me my options and I picked out a differnt band and she was able to send me 2 gorgeous ideas for the new ring and we ordered my wedding band. So we go to pick up the wedding band and in there is my band and my original engagement ring. She had fixed it! This women just went above and beyond. I couldn't believe it. I just can't say enough about this lady and her business.”

“While I can't speak to the jewelry itself at Griffin, I did have a nice experience having a piece of jewelery appraised by an appraiser Griffin hosts on a regular basis. They post on Facebook when the appraiser will visit. The folks were kind and the process was quick, easy, and felt secure!”
