CHAT GPT recommended Get Moving and it was BEST decision I made.
I called (impulsively) on a Sunday- and they still took my call and walked me through what I’ll need to check in advance, we even FaceTimes to make sure I’m measuring my front door opening correctly.
Although their Monday schedule was fully booked- they came to the rescue and fitted me in end of day.
Seller was extremely impressed with their services as well: they wrapped the fridge to protect it through transit then installed the waterline upon delivery. Fridge arrived safely floors and door stayed untouched- they even checked my outside tap that was leaking just because they are GOOD PEOPLE and so willing to help.
Will definitely use them next time I move houses as well as any small move I have in between.

“I requested a short notice move and Craig and his team were just amazing. I had only large items in a 1 bedroom apartment and they moved everything like butter! Made sure all of my things were safe and wrapped up nicely before so that nothing would get broken plus they figured out how to get my couch out as it would not fit in the elevator properly like my other pieces of furniture. “Today I had a reservation at Go Store It in McKinney Tx that had been confirmed a week prior and when I showed up this morning w my loaded truck and movers that I had contracted for 3 hours no one was in the office and the door was locked. I received no help from customer services. I was left to frantically call storage places close by as the time was ticking away. The receptionist at Mckinney mini storage was so kind. She helped me immediately and was able to get the guys back to the unit right away while I stayed to fill the paper work. I did end up spending more on this smaller unit and I had to pay the movers for an extra half hour but the helpful nature of the receptionist made me feel better. Thank you for helping me when I was freaking out! I hope the duration of my rental contract goes as well as today did.”

“EDIT: Pods picked up the pod today. Even though it was a day late, I am so happy that it's not being stored in my driveway.

Because we have moved in stages, I utilized Pods to make our move easy and convenient. From the first day, it has gone smoothly. They only charge once a service has been rendered. I really like this method. I'm not paying the whole fee for our multiple pods at once. They deliver; one charge. They pick up; one charge. They ship across the country; one charge. Compared to a full service white glove moving company, this has been cheaper. Basically I'm the white glove, packing and preparing for loading. I hire movers for each pod, who come to load the boxes and furniture that I have ready.

We used 3 pods so far. We have one more to go to empty out our house. We stored 2 pods, and the last one was shipped straight from our house. All 3 have arrived in great shape.

One more thing to note: buy plenty of same size boxes and moving straps. The boxes are loaded first and then any large furniture items are placed in front of those boxes; then tied with straps. Then another layer. Each pod had 3 layers of items, all tied off with straps. No problems at all! Stay on them to pick up the pod on time, once it's unloaded.

One more item if you've made it this far. One truck that arrived to pick up a fully loaded pod had a damaged tire and wheel. The driver seemed perfectly happy to take our pod on the highway with it. I was not happy, so sent them back to the warehouse in Indianapolis to get a new wheel or truck. They did it without complaint. Stay vigilant that they truck it safely!

Original review: I'll change my review to 5 stars once you pick up the pod from my house. It was supposed to be picked up today and now I got an email saying you won't pick it up until tomorrow evening!!! I've had nothing but great experience using Pods, but now the local office in McKinney Texas won't come pick it up. Not acceptable. Hence, 1 star.”
