“Very busy shop. Very well organized. Promised a specific timeframe for repairs to be completed, and was completed in half the time. Reasonable prices. Could improve speed of vehicle pickup, but understandable due to how busy they are.”
“Truly one of the best mechanics in town. Having maintenance knowledge myself, Danny didn’t recommend anything that didn’t need to be done on my vehicle. He’s a straight shooter and goes above and beyond to make sure customer vehicles are road ready. He was very communicative throughout the few days my vehicle was with him. He’s very knowledgeable and on any given issue he is transparent about what needs urgent attention versus what might need attention in the future. You can confidently take your vehicle there, and rest easy knowing that your vehicle is in good hands.
Prices are acceptable given the quality you’re getting. However, some services like a synthetic blend oil change are on the high side of the range ($60). With car maintenance, you get what you pay for and Danny is providing honest and quality service to the people of Austin. Worth every penny.”

I remember when I started first coming to Discount Tire 10+ years ago, the service was so good you didn’t even want to go to a different tire shop even for a better price. That level of service has definitely been lacking with Discount Tire in recent years, BUT Bradin’s service, kindness and thoughtfulness reminds me why I continue to come back to Discount Tire. I got a flat tire, a friend help me put a spare on but I was not planning to buy tires. They checked all four, added air in all of them and sold me what would’ve been a very expensive tire for $71.

“I recommend Ken with no reservations. Excellent welder. My Panamera wasn’t driving quite “right.” My mechanic suspected this was related to some dents he saw on my wheels. Reached out to German Auto, who recommended Ken.Called on a Wednesday, scheduled for Thursday, picked it up on Friday, just in time for a road trip.Car drives nice and smooth like it’s supposed to, and for a great price. We stood around for 30m after my car was done talking fast cars and old times. I had an issue with another store where I purchased a new tire, but they replaced an already new tire, leaving me still with only one new tire ??♂️. I initially went in only for a wheel alignment (for my two new tires, or so i thought lol)—which is a rare service for Discount Tire locations in Austin. This is one of the few locations in the area that offers wheel alignments.

“The many are very attentive, always willing to help you so that you leave satisfied, but there is one small detail, they must be more careful when mounting the tires, the rims are always scratched by the use of the spatulas, otherwise everything is fine.”
“Discount Tire is my go-to place for all things tires. They are consistently reliable. However, they did not quite make the projected completion time by about 5 minutes. They forgot to reset my low air pressure indicator after filling the tires with air, and they forgot again a few days later after I let them know when I returned to purchase tires. So, my indicator is still on.”

“This place saved the day! I was shopping at ACR right across the street, and when I came back to my car, I noticed my back left tire was totally flat. Filled with dread, I figured I would have to leave my truck bed full of art supplies in the lot overnight, take an uber home, and maybe tow my truck somewhere the next day?! I was SO lucky to realize that A-1 was close enough for me to slowly roll over to, right before closing time.When I got there, they were gracious, helpful, and friendly, and even stayed open a little late to patch my tire. (Actually, TWO tires - they noticed that I had picked up nails/screws in the front right as well.) It only took a few minutes and it was about $35 - a great value, and SUCH a relief compared to my worst case scenario. I am forever grateful!”
