“Just a good old-fashioned customer service centric business. Pricing is about the same as Discount Tire, but the ability to not have to wait hours is the huge plus. Their roadside service has always been fast, efficient, and priced right. While I have used them for years, a couple months ago while I was out of town on business, my wife had a flat on I10 east of SA in a construction zone. I called Lyndas, and they were on site within 30 minutes, and to both of our great relief they had her going again within 10 minutes of arrival!!
Based on a recommendation from a friend that uses their commercial roadside service, I started using them exclusively for our company vehicles as well as my personal vehicles several years ago, many new tires and roadside services later, I have never had a regret!! That written, this message is to compliment the GREAT customer service provided by Calvin of Discount Tire Schertz, TX.
Calvin greeted me with a full warm smile, eye contact and a firm “neutral” handshake. (Thumb up and pinky down or vertical. This handshake demonstrates, “I consider you an equal”.)
Calvin asked for my service need. I had a “16-penny” nail in my truck tire. Calvin scanned the tread depth on all tires, a safety check, and verified the vehicle mileage.
Calvin got my vehicle completed quickly and even had the air pressure corrected in all of the tires.
Calvin, during a completion update, shared a little time discussing the automotive business in general.

“My class A motor home has a spartan chassis. My smart wheel was not responding to the cruise control,tilt,or wipers. They found the problem ordered the parts next day air. they allowed me to stay in their parking lot over nite. Parts were in the next day and installed and I was on my way. “The short is Jacob Carrasco has redeemed my faith in discount tire.
They’re not the cheapest, And I bought four tires with warranties on all four. My tire ended up having a gash on the side of it that we didn’t know where it came from after about a year and a half of driving. It was pointed out to me by a discount tire tech at their Schertz location while I was getting my pressure checked after a cold storm. It was not a puncture and it was still holding air pressure, but I was worried about the integrity of the tire. The tech said that it wasn’t that deep and it shouldn’t cause any issues, but I wanted to speak to the manager.
I explained to the manager that I had a warranty on the tire and then I wanted to have it replaced because I was worried about driving on this. The manager told me that it would not be covered under the warranty and that it was still structurally sound. I left that store feeling taken advantage of and defeated.
I called at least three or four times to their corporate office waiting for a call back and never received one. I emailed them and I received an email back. I provided the information they asked for and then never heard anything again.
At this point, I was gonna give discount tire one last chance before I boycotted them for life. I thought maybe I should go to the normal store that I go to off Agora Parkway in the forum.
I explained the history to the assistant manager Jacob Carrasco, and he apologized for all the hassle that I had gone through.
Jacob was thorough, professional, and willing to help out with something that was definitely outside of my control. You can tell he really cares about the people that is serving and puts himself in their position. He has redeemed my faith in discount tire, and I will continue to be a faithful customer due to him.
Not only did I get the warranty tire replaced, but I went ahead and bought a second tire for his recommendation so they would not be uneven and then bought two new warranties.
I truly appreciate him going above and beyond and wanna make sure that he is acknowledged for his help and doing the right thing.”

“I had had a sidewall tear on a Pirelli tire mounted on a 2005 Mini Cooper S. I checked on line at a major tire retailer and in person at Discount Tire. All had to order it. I called Firestone at Randolph JBSA and had an appointment that morning for an equal or better run flat. Service was prompt, taking less than 30 minutes. I am most impressed.”
