“As I read through the reviews, I noticed that there were several comments about poor customer service. I felt I needed to chime in to clarify something I know about the Pennywise store that will help customers understand something about SOME of the STAFF. Some of the "staff" are not paid staff, but instead people working off community service hours. It is likely that many of the people that are being complained about are just every day people who have community service hours to work off and have been assigned to PennyWise to work their time. I have never had a bad experience with the STAFF at PennyWise, however I have had a few moments of rudeness from the community service "Volunteers" from time to time.I still love this store and the purpose behind it. If you do not know, the proceeds from the sales help to fund the Fort Bend Women's Center, which is a place for battered and abused women and their children to land in an emergency situation.I highly recommend this store. I donate here and shop here regularly.They also have great sales and have a program where you can purchase a purple bag and on a specific day everything you can fit in the bag is 50% off.”
