10694 FM1670, SaladoI can’t say enough good things about Pawsitive creations. We have a 2 yr old pit mix who refused to let anyone cut her nails, vet said they had to sedate her to get them done. We tried everything. I was recommended to them on fb and they were quick to respond and squeezed us in with no problem. Our pup was hesitant at first but they were so kind to her that she warmed up quick and they were able to cut her nails in minutes with little to no hassle. They not only saved us hundreds of $ in sedation but gave our pup relief and made her feel comfortable through the process at an affordable cost. I definitely recommend them and we will be using them again soon!

16231 FM2115, SaladoMy first experience with Animal Medical of Salado was about five years ago when my oldest dog became sick during the weekend. All other vets were closed, and I found them by accident. I don't live near the clinic, so it was a bit of a haul to get there. Unfortunately, the veterinarian wasn't going to make it in time so the tech on her own called another clinic and worked out a deal so my dog could be seen. That was the day I found out my oldest had congestive heart failure. I transferred my animals to AMOS when their former vet became an assembly line of uncaring vets and techs that couldn't be bothered. I remembered how the tech at AMOS went above and beyond to set something up so I could start treatment for my dog.
Ever since I have been taking my three dogs and cat for anything and everything they need. I am not always the easiest person to deal with as my animals mean a lot to me so I can come off at times as a bit annoyed or demanding when they’re in pain. Dr. Santos and her staff [they have changed throughout the years] have always treated my animals and myself very well. Never judging when one of my dogs is nervous, or for my endless questions because I need to understand what is happening fully.
I had to put down my oldest in June 2024. Even though it was expected as aside from heart failure a tumor had started moving organs. I was allowed to grieve in the room with her for hours. Dr. Miller never rushed me, the techs came and sat with me and shared their stories of times with my dog as they loved her as their own. Unfortunately, now I must face the harsh realization that I will have to make that call sooner or later with my middle dog as he was DX with cancer. I know when I must swallow the pain of losing him to make that call for him, I wouldn't have it done anywhere else.
I have experienced the care of great veterinarians and staff, and I have had the misfortune of meeting badly trained or burnt-out veterinarians and staff. I know people aren’t perfect and at times can make mistakes. When mistakes can lead to animals dying or getting sicker quicker it makes you appreciate clinics like Animal Medical of Salado so much more.

1848 N Robertson Rd, SaladoFirst time bringing my dog here after taking her to the ER the night before. They were all very kind & understanding to my situation. I think the pricing was reasonable compared to other clinics I’ve been too & they were very thorough on everything. Also helped with referring me to a less expensive ER in the temple area. Now my dog is doing fantastic & better than before. Thank you.

The Shoppes on Main in Salado, 22 North Main Street, SaladoI absolutely love this place! Everyone is always so friendly, the coffee is excellent, and their Earl Grey tea is truly the best.
I also used them to cater my mother’s 85th birthday party, and they were absolutely wonderful. They were professional, thoughtful, and everything was just perfect. They even added little special touches I hadn’t asked for that made the celebration even more memorable.
Definitely a place you need to check out when you’re in Salado! ❤☕

401 South Main Street, SaladoWe are in the area once a year and visiting here is a MUST DO at least once while we are on vacation. You can order food at the kitchen next door (delicious by the way) and just relax with a cold beer or glass of wine. My personal favorite is getting the wine flight. The presentation is great and the flavors are even better. Staff is super attentive and friendly. The prices are also very consumer friendly.
P.S. You can also ask to sample flavors of the beer they have. I tried the pickle and I thought I was drinking pickle juice. The flavors are spot on!

I walked in and got a both and quickly started realizing that being sweaty and weak was not from the weather, but was actually from my blood sugar crashing. I tried tell Ricky what was going on, but I could not articulate the words. My friend with me jumped in and told him what was happening. Ricky said I’ll be right back and he was…with a glass of orange juice. He was very concerned and made sure that I was ok. He made sure my orange juice stayed full and keep checking back. Ricky definitely made me feel very comfortable during a health issue that could of gone south very quickly

The server Brooke was very nice and gave great suggestions, great cocktails, and a glowing personality. Five stars for her. Compliments to the chef as well. All the food was delicious. The salmon, the lobster mac and cheese, the ribeye... delicious. I look forward to running away here again. Thank you so much for such lovely service!

401 S Main St, SaladoWe enjoyed a wonderful meal of cheeseburgers and fries! It was excellent- those buns were amazing!Our waitress, Tera was a delight. Although the restaurant was very busy, she always had a smile and just had a great attitude. We sat in the patio area, which was a little loud, but had a great view. We will definitely be stopping by again on our way through.
