βHas very basic necessities but lacks inventory that a real grocery store or market should have. From the outside it looks like it could be filled with many aisles and shelves, but inside is lots of open space occupied by a few tables and chairs. You can buy drinks, some home-cooked food items, pastries, coffee, ice cream snacks, cigarettes, etc. Very interesting looking place; friendly staff; fun place to check out and try some of the homemade meals.β

βA nice little country store with all the things you need. I have been coming here since I was a little kid. From soda and candy, to tortillas and other food items you can find them here. I've known the owners my whole life and they are kind people.
Bird wise, you can get the occasional White-tailed hawk flyover. And you have the chance to see green jays, great kiskadee, and golden-fronted woodpeckers to name a few flying around.β
βThe customer service at Dollar General at Sam Houston is good, the new store and the people who are going to buy are very nice, it's as if they are all friends, or rather it's like a family ??? wooo how beautiful.β
βIt has the basic groceries and beer is cold has ah small select but the food they serve there is great try the menudo carnitas and the meat market is good great low prices i recommend the menudo the carnitas and there's more great breakfast choicesβ
βOur family calls Dollar General our "mini" Wal-Mart, this place has an amazing selection to choose from. It has the basics to the most common items that one goes to bigger stores for, milk, eggs, oil and even automotive isle. Dollar General has become my families headquarters in San Benito.β
βVery friendly employees. They will look to see if they have what you want if you don't see it. I go here almost everyday. Very good convenient store you can get what you need quick.β

βI love the place! This is a small corner store, locally owned. The cashiers are always courteous and efficient. Easy in and out. The vibe of the place is special. Cold beer, snacks and all sorts of other goodies. They have gas as well.β
βFood is pretty good here. This is our preferred spot for barbacoa because it doesn't taste gamey (cowie says the wife). They are the same owners as Alejandro's in Harlingen. Everything else taste the same except the BBQ. Ordered some chicken and cheese tamales and some tamal borachos. Food was great. Tamales taste the same as here in Harlingen. Definitely make the drive back to SB for the BBQβ

βStripes has nothing on this place !! Super clean nice staff . They have eeeevvveerryyy thing and I mean every thing all the gas station needs plus almost anything you can think of !! And I mean just bout anything else tacos, meat market need to fix a a broken pipe they got you covered!! Love this place!!β

βI love this place they have those little sugar cookies and sweets and smoking devices of all kinds they also have my contacts I like to buy different ones each month . Plus they have that new 4 loco drink fruit punch or something like that .β
βI love this store, it isn't very big, but you can find almost everything you need, especially when you just don't want to go to a large place like Walmart! There's a lady that has been working there for years, so you feel good to see a friendly, familiar face!β

βTypical dollar store. Somewhat messy on the aisles since they had carts of merchandise that had not been put on the shelves yet. That made it difficult to navigate the store. Everything else was good. They had what I needed and that was good since I didn't have to make another stop somewhere else. Overall, I will return.β
