“This is the best hardware store west of the Mississippi. Plenty of helpful staff on hand standing at attention and ready to help. They went above and beyond the call of duty for me today. I needed a sheet of diamond sheet metal to replace the grill grate in my charcoal grill, and I needed it cut to size. They had the grate, then carefully measured and cut it to my specifications. Come here for all of your DIY projects!

“Favorite hardware store. Somehow this place is the fraction of the size of home Depot or Lowe's, but has everything I always need. I wouldn't recommend using their knife sharpening service though. It feels like my knives are not sharp at all. It couldn't even cut through the paper that they put it in afterwards. I wish I would have checked if they were sharp when I was at the store”
“BlessingZ on us all....Was talking with my dad about a rotor stud nut I needed on a 12K trailer. He told me about Bayou City Bolt and Supply and said if they don't have it God didn't want you to have it. ? The service here was a plus plus starting from the back @ will call. Sergio took a good look @, quick drawed that bolt gauge and took off. Aaron was returning with aiding another customer and was a breath of fresh air. We spoke of kicking the week in the ass and the things we aimed to do. A cool dude, chip off the old block shoutout to Fernando the OG. A+ Abraham and Outstanding Otoniel up front finished off my great visit to a real staple and standout here in our lovely city of Houston.God Bless all the staff and their Families @ BCBS!

“Great place to go when you need automotive wire by the ft.. when I walked in I was greeted and told what aisle number, as I walked in that direction I heard someone on the intercom that there will be a customer needing assistance on the aisle I am walking towards, assistance was waiting there as I approached explaining what I was needing she founded the product cut, tag and I was on my way. Great staff!”

Since I am maturing, I promised myself more wheels in my life, instead of using my back. I have been looking for a garden utility cart with at least 10 inch wheels. Low and behold Harbor Freight beat everyone out!
In the store. I ran across the manager, Cole, and told him I would need help getting the item off the shelf and loaded. (Recovering from being "under the weather"!). He said no problem and got me the help I needed. The store was busy, but Cole's team kept the line moving!!! Nick was the young man who checked me out, very personable and helpful with loading my car. I only had to pull up close to the door. This visit was most definitely an A-1 visit!!!??”
“Extremely nice and professional. I have been there x 2 and this time had a flat tire (first time in this car) and Mr. Martini was super helpful and nice. He went the extra mile and plugged the hole in my tire and put air in the flat and spare. I'm extra grateful for his kind attention.”
“I finally decided to take the plunge and transition to cordless power tools. After many hours of watching YouTube videos, I decided for my use a hobbies mainly work on my airplane, I chose Bauer. As a Foundation I bought their $200 multi unit kit. It all seems good so far however, the battery charge that came with the kit be working properly. I took it back the manager the meter store in Houston was greatly helpful. His name is Michael. However, to exchange that one part I’m having to go back out to my workshop. Get the Hohl kits contest and bring them up to exchange. Maybe I should’ve known that but I just grabbed the one piece that was giving me problemsanyway it’s a bit of a nuisance, but if that’s the worst thing that happens to me today I’m gonna count my blessings.”

“I visit this area a couple times a year to see a friend and we always stop at Friendswood hardware. Their plants are amazing and they are very knowledgeable. I also live in a dry area and their plants are especially tolerant to drought. The inside is filled with cute patio decorations, pots, feeders and gardening equipment. Love it!!”

“I came in there with a picture of my intake valve to my downstairs toilet that was leaking. Showed the man, I felt like with his eyes closed, He grabbed the part off the shelf. Said this is what you need. Told me how to do it. I went home. I did everything he told me and now I have a working toilet. I love Gray's hardware!”

I appreciate the polite helpful hardware folks. Recent experience - went in for a discount deal Ace was running, they advised it was online only, then walked me through ordering it online right then and there, grabbed the items for me, and had me out the door with the items and $100 discount in less than 15 minutes.”

Carrying all of your needs from electrical, nuts, bolts, tools, blades, tie downs, ladders and just about any need you have. The folks are knowledgeable and helpful. Great place to pick up pretty much anything you need from a construction job to a DIY project. Highly recommended.”

If I could suggest anything, I'd wish they had longer hours. Even an hour more in the evening would be awesome.
My local store is closed at 9pm. The shopping strip has stores open as late as 10pm and would be nice if more stores in the strip stayed open until 10pm.
Nonetheless, I love this store. They have the best prices and the return policy is the best.
I've only had to return 2 things but it was so easy. They took the item and exchanged it quickly for a new working one.

“I bought a new chainsaw from Northern Tool near Chicago. Great people there also, however I went to start my new saw. I almost needed to get a shoulder replacement from my own lack of knowledge. Anyway I called this Northern Tool in Houston for some help. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful and polite. He advised me to bring my saw so they could look at it. I did. Upon arrival I met with the person I spoke with and he was very professional and had one of the guys in the back of the store come to help me. Scott was his name and chainsaws are his game LOL. He helped me and educated me as well. Thank you for teaching me about the saw that I bought. And getting it to run.
