“Flawlessy smooth process from start to finish. They provided me a quote over the phone when I first reached out, and I was able to schedule them to come measure the day after I closed on my home so we could get the ball rolling quickly. Cesar was very low pressure. He made a few suggestions, some I accepted and others I did not. He listened to what I wanted, and we ironed out a plan that would work. Installation crew showed up on time and got right to work. Props to the guys for working around my dogs, too. I had workers outside the home at the same time and could not put my dogs outside, so they were tethered to me on their leashes. One is very reactive and dislikes strangers. The installation crew was great about giving a verbal heads up if they were going to pass through the room giving me a chance to redirect my reactive dog. By the time the installation was done, my dogs couldn't have cared less about their presence. The crew cleaned up after themselves. The door looks fantastic, and I can't wait to enjoy it.”

“Oddly Ace is a nostalgic place for me. Always visited back home in our little town when I was little. To my surprise it still has that early 90s feeling for me. They also have a nice home decor department that sells one of my favorite brands. Had a key made and they were really quick getting in done.”

“I stopped in for a garage door spring. They had what I needed. The salesperson was extremely helpful. He made sure I knew exactly what to do and added some helpful hints. I can repair most anything, so I decided to give it a try. Their YouTube video was spot on. It calls to be extremely careful, due to the winding of the spring. They made the replacement very easy. I hope I do not need them again, but will make the 40 mile drive if I need to. Thanks P4GD!!”

“They have a good variety of Microlife products for organic lawn and gardening, at a GREAT price. Nice and helpful staff/ owners who will greet you every time and make sure you find what you need. They will also help you place an order if the items are not available in store. Clean parking lot with plenty of spaces. Definitely my go to place for high quality organic fertilizers and compost.”

“This is the best hardware store west of the Mississippi. Plenty of helpful staff on hand standing at attention and ready to help. They went above and beyond the call of duty for me today. I needed a sheet of diamond sheet metal to replace the grill grate in my charcoal grill, and I needed it cut to size. They had the grate, then carefully measured and cut it to my specifications. Come here for all of your DIY projects!

Classes are very popular and fill up far in advance. They would absolutely be popular summer camp option or even week long hands on intro to woodworking for young people. Worth every penny.”

“Favorite hardware store. Somehow this place is the fraction of the size of home Depot or Lowe's, but has everything I always need. I wouldn't recommend using their knife sharpening service though. It feels like my knives are not sharp at all. It couldn't even cut through the paper that they put it in afterwards. I wish I would have checked if they were sharp when I was at the store”

“Old school store built on good inventory good folks and customer service. I've been a steady customer since it was a hole in the wall and the former owners would only turn on the lights for a paying customer. Oh fond memories of my early years in Houston. If you can't find what you need here you may not need it bad enough, they have everything that I have ever needed. Fasteners, tools, plumbing, electrical, painting you name it you can find it here.”

“Got to meet the owner shortly before their grand opening and you can tell they're legitimately happy to be a part of the community. It's been great for smaller projects when I only need a couple tools or supplies, without having to go to a much larger store like HD. Location includes a little gift shop and fridges/freezers selling locally produced goods. Picked up a gluten free coffee cake and some lumber for woodworking at the same time!”

“Great place to go when you need automotive wire by the ft.. when I walked in I was greeted and told what aisle number, as I walked in that direction I heard someone on the intercom that there will be a customer needing assistance on the aisle I am walking towards, assistance was waiting there as I approached explaining what I was needing she founded the product cut, tag and I was on my way. Great staff!”

“BlessingZ on us all....Was talking with my dad about a rotor stud nut I needed on a 12K trailer. He told me about Bayou City Bolt and Supply and said if they don't have it God didn't want you to have it. ? The service here was a plus plus starting from the back @ will call. Sergio took a good look @, quick drawed that bolt gauge and took off. Aaron was returning with aiding another customer and was a breath of fresh air. We spoke of kicking the week in the ass and the things we aimed to do. A cool dude, chip off the old block shoutout to Fernando the OG. “Our local Ace Hardware store is great. Far better than a close Lowe’s & Home Depot stores. Staff is great & they walk around the store stopping to ask all shoppers if they can help or assist them. This NEVER happens in Lowe’s or Home Depot. Prices meet or better than the other local stores. Due to Ace’s overall physical building size, Ace doesn’t have the lumber, appliance & other sections but for most everyday hardware needs they have what you maybe needing or looking for!! Love my local Ace store.”

“Today, I visited store #03466 and had the pleasure of working with the store manager, Ramon. I’m writing this review because Ramon provided exceptional customer service during a difficult situation. Although I was frustrated and admittedly behaved in a belligerent and unprofessional manner due to being unable to return a pump purchased in 2024 with an active extended warranty, Ramon remained patient, calm, and highly professional throughout the entire interaction.

He de-escalated the situation with remarkable composure, thoroughly explained why I was unable to process the return in-store despite what I had originally been told, and took the time to ensure I understood my next steps. Ramon even wrote down the necessary information from my receipt on a sticky note so I could properly file my claim online for a refund.

What stood out most was that Ramon stayed with me the entire time I was in the store, including while I was on the phone with customer service, offering support and professionalism despite my disrespectful behavior. His patience, understanding, and dedication to helping me resolve the issue did not go unnoticed.

I truly appreciate Ramon for handling the situation with such grace and professionalism, and I hope this review reaches him so he knows how thankful I am for his outstanding customer service despite the challenging circumstances.”

“Believe it, or not, this is one of my "candy" stores! ? I really turn into a big kid with "I want, I want!!! ?
So, I really have to have a list or have researched first online for what I am looking for!
Since I am maturing, I promised myself more wheels in my life, instead of using my back. I have been looking for a garden utility cart with at least 10 inch wheels. Low and behold Harbor Freight beat everyone out!
In the store. I ran across the manager, Cole, and told him I would need help getting the item off the shelf and loaded. (Recovering from being "under the weather"!). He said no problem and got me the help I needed. The store was busy, but Cole's team kept the line moving!!! Nick was the young man who checked me out, very personable and helpful with loading my car. I only had to pull up close to the door. This visit was most definitely an A-1 visit!!!??”

“Dang. I find it a rare occurrence when I can just go to a place and get the hardware I need the same day… and I buy some uncommon hardware. Most of the time at Grainger and Fastenal I get told the items I want will take about 3-5 days to arrive. If I’m lucky, I can pick up maybe 1/5 of my order today and wait for the rest to arrive.

Not today. Thanks to The Nut Place.

I order only metric (get with the program) and the Nut Place had exactly what I needed: bolts, locking nuts and washers, all 8.8 steel, all zinc coated. No mixing and matching. No “half your order is in metric and the other half we’ll have to do imperial”. None of the “bolts are galvanized nuts and washers are zinc coated”. Just exactly what I wanted. No compromise. Company card so I can’t speak to the price and how it compares to others but when the others can’t deliver, the cost of convenience is worth every penny.

Bottom line: this place COULD have the worst customer service and I’d still give them 5 stars because they do what other industrial supply companies WISH they could do. Take note, Grainer and Fastenal.

Mr. James Cho helped me out and was able to find out if my Ryobi Leaf blower and vaccum was still under warranty. It was! He helped me talk to Ryobi and they sent me a new leaf/vaccum! I was thrilled! Very professional and I would recommend them!”

Meagan helped me over the phone to choose a fixture that would make things easier for him when he arrived home. She was extremely knowledgable, patiently listened to and answered all of my questions, guided me toward the best decision, and helped me pay over the phone. In addition, she gave me the name of a plumber who could also do electrical work, and arranged with him to pickup, deliver and install. By doing all of this for me, she made it possible for me to stay at the hospital with my husband.
