“I stayed here with my family for 2 weeks and honestly it was extremely quiet. No loud neighbors, room had a microwave and upon request a mini fridge. The AC unit was blasting cold air and honestly I was stuck watching Snapped on Oxygen for most of the days. The front office ladies were extremely nice and helpful plus they offered free coffee in the mornings!”

“Very nice property, very clean from lobby to the rooms. The staff is about as nice as any I have stayed in anywhere. Only down side was we needed to do a quick laundry before leaving Saturday and the machines were really needing some service. Otherwise it was a top notch bargain. Will return for sure!”

“I have been coming to Houston for years on business, and it is regrettable that I am only now discovering The Whitehall Houston. This is a fantastic establishment, through and through—from beginning to end, and even beyond. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and delightful conversation. I am especially thankful for the front desk team—Shirley, John, Ana Maria, and Kelvin—who made sure I was settled into a wonderful, spacious room and handled all of my needs throughout my entire stay with utmost care.
I was in Houston on business and had many Amazon packages arriving during my stay. The team made sure to notify me promptly and took great care to ensure everything reached me in a timely manner. Even with a return package that needed to make its way back to Amazon after my departure, they were fully committed to helping. All of my business needs were addressed—from printing and signing legal agreements to faxing them as well. This level of service is truly over the top.
The entire staff was friendly and incredibly helpful, offering recommendations for navigating downtown Houston, and their team even served as personal chauffeurs using the hotel car. And let’s not forget the on-property restaurant, Edgars. The food is fresh, delicious, and inventive—a thoughtful fusion of Texan, Mexican, and Southern comfort flavors—paired with care and attention given to every beverage they offer.
This is a wonderful place to stay, and I plan to stay here again whenever I am in Houston!”

“One of the best places to stay in Pasadena, conveniently close to Houston. I stayed here for 3 days and had a really comfortable experience.
From check in at the reception to the restaurant service, the entire staff was extremely supportive, polite and professional. The rooms were spacious, perfectly clean, tidy and well arranged with all the basic amenities. Proper hygienic conditions are well maintained throughout the hotel which makes the stay even more comfortable and worry-free.
They serve a buffet breakfast every morning while lunch and dinner are available with an à la carte menu service. The food was average but included vegetarian options which was a plus.
Another highlight is the free transportation provided to nearby shops like Walmart and Best Buy. They even give a $5 coupon for the Houston Space Center, which is a thoughtful touch for travelers.
Overall, it was a relaxing, hygienic and comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Pasadena or Houston.”

“Hands down one of the best guest service experiences we have ever had. Charmaine at the front desk is exceptional. From the moment we called in when we arrived at the airport, to check in & throughout our stay, she made us feel welcomed, valued & taken care of. As frequent travelers, we notice great service when we see it, and Charmaine truly stands out.
Our teenage girls even mentioned how friendly she was, which is rare praise coming from teens. She goes above and beyond for guests, and how we were treated, confirmed we made the right choice staying here.
The airport shuttle was a huge plus, and the driver was super friendly. The hotel was clean & the beds were comfortable. Staying here & Ubering to the cruise port was a smarter option than paying premium prices to stay in Galveston. Highly recommend this hotel!”

“My family stayed here for a wedding and we loved it. Great location downtown. It is located in a business district so it was actually pretty quiet and laid-back on the weekend. We played with our young daughter in the open courtyards around the hotel and walked to the public library when we had some time off. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Mel was great. She would check in on our daughter and ask her about how being a flower girl in the wedding was going. She gave her bubbles to play with and really made her feel welcomed. We would definitely stay again.”

“This was the best hotel stay I have ever experienced in Houston. Staff was the absolute best. I forgot her name but I believe it's Danielle. She need a raise. She for sure have the best customer service. I will only book here from now on the Houston area. Only issue was my fridge wasn't cold. Baby from her service I didn't even complain or care. Everything else was 10 out of 10 from breakfast, cleaning, checking in to make sure I'm good, towels, the pool, washer and dryer and the gym. ? love it here. If that's not her name tell her forgive me but I checked in at 3pm on Saturday June 8. Tell her I will see her in July?”

“I love the new Laquinta Inn design and theme.Its fresh and elegant.
Got here for the night as I had business in the area.I was greeted with a very inviting open plan and classic deco that was just so warming.
Check in was a breeze and our room was clean and tidy.
We came and sat at the bar where Kimberly stole the show.She was really engaging and a joy to have as a bartender
We spent time chatting up Kimberly who is very knowledgeable about the local restaurants and activities in the area.
The only downside to this stay was the smoke detector which went on all night intermittently even though there was no smoke.
Will definitely come back and stay at this location.Price and value for money!!!”

I’ve stayed in a hotel recently that would leave a note that they’d be back and guests were just waiting for whatever they needed. Holiday Inn is just well managed in general. Had to use 5 days to keep diamond status before the end of the year and it has a nice clean hot tub that works. Enjoyable place to lay your head.”

They are located in a perfect area and had GREAT SERVICE security guard even made sure I got to my Lyft safe in the early morning hours. Definitely recommend them for anyone staying in downtown Houston.”

The morning front desk Melanie is super friendly making you feel welcomed. The beds are very comfortable with super clean rooms. The General Manager Vic is terrific. “I stayed at The Magnolia Houston for four nights (January 19–23, 2026) and had a good overall experience.
The room was clean and comfortable, though I did find a discarded press-on nail on the floor one evening, which was a bit surprising. Aside from that, housekeeping was solid. WiFi was reliable, and the bathroom and shower were very good — great water pressure and well maintained.
The on-site gym is about average. It’s fine for a basic workout, but the treadmills aren’t great quality. The rooftop pool is nice but fairly small, so don’t expect a resort-style setup.
Front desk and bell service were excellent — friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. One of the real highlights of the hotel is the second-floor restaurant, The Dispatch. The food quality and selection were excellent. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, as well as the lunch and dinner options.
The hotel is conveniently located downtown, close to the convention centre and other attractions. That said, one block over near the metro line can feel a bit sketchy, and you do need to stay alert when walking around, especially in the evening.
The hotel itself was quiet, not overly crowded, and comfortable — which I appreciated. Overall, I would recommend staying here, particularly for business travel or convention visits, and I’d happily stay again.”

“There are fairly limited options in the area and we found this to be one of the nicer hotel options available. The location is conveniently located right off the highway with several dining options nearby you could even walk to. There is also grocery and shopping areas very conveniently located close. They offer limited continental breakfast that varies each day. It wasn’t gormet but great for grab and go. The rooms were clean and modern. The restrooms could use some maintenance (at least in our room). The water pressure in the sinks are so overwhelming that they literally spray everywhere when using. The showers unfortunately are lacking any pressure whatsoever. Overall a decent place to stay locally.”

“This hotel was surprisingly comfortable and quiet. I stayed here for two nights while my sister had a surgery performed. When I pulled up I have to admit I was a little scared of the location but it was a safe place that seems to be frequented mostly by business travelers and out of town laborers. I would stay here again if it was necessary for me to visit that area again.”

“Centrally located near the border of South Houston and Pasadena. The rooms are awesome since the flooding during Hurricane Harvey. New bedding, new floors (laminate wood) and very clean. The smoking rooms don't smell like you'd expect. Cost per night went up but it's well worth it, especially having a nice room in this location.”
