“Been going to Jay's food Mart on Gibbs sprawl road and every time I go there I always have a good time the people that are very nice and also they have a coin pushing machine and a couple of video slot machines in there I like to play every once in awhile just to relax and talk to the people in there and they have great customer service”
“What can you say about TJs that hasn’t been said already. This location always is clean and very friendly staff. But of a drive for me but often visit when I’m in the area. Sadly the TJ brand of beer seems to be dwindling.”
“Very great store it has a good collection of stuff and the staff are very friendly and helpful they are awesome people.Kayla the cashier is so nice and positive and makes me happy to come to the store and Tim is very kind and helpful when we go there!”
“Stopped by after having Father's Day Brunch..
Happy Father's to all the male figures in childrens lives!
Anyway! Grabbed a few frozen items, juices, and some goodies. Place was alil crowded, but everyone was chill n courteous to one another. Excellent fast check out! Kudos to all employees ? working the weekend n Father's Day! Here's a few highlights of our TJ Haul!”
“Best HEB in town, upscale selections with low pricing and great customer service. You really can't go wrong with that combination, it is without a bought the best.”
“Small produce market with pretty good selection of fruit and vegetables. Produce was beautiful and fresh! Prices on par and sometimes cheaper than HEB. I wouldn’t recommend getting more “exotic” fruit there as it was pretty pricey (I.e pomegranates, dragon fruit, etc). Wasn’t crowded and there was plenty of parking, even on the weekend.”
“I don’t even go to Lanier, but I love their burgers! The fam that runs it are super nice too. So happy this burger joint is in my neighborhood and it’s endearing to see the kids have this spot as a hangout for them.”
“You gotta follow them on social to stay informed. Prices are unbeatable on a lot of goods. There are items here and there that aren't much better than HEB but you're still getting a deal. Some items require you to buy large quantities. They refund if something goes past expiration, some items are close. It can be hard to find items like beef or cold cuts because they tend to go quickly. Stock changes throughout the week. Weekends are crowded. Parking can be a hassle on Saturdays.
Bottom line: this place is full of great deals but it ain't CostCo. You should bring your own bags and be prepared to put in some effort to find things. The staff are super nice but there are limits to how much they can do in a place with ever-changing inventory, especially when it's crowded and there are long lines to check out. I'm told weekdays are better, less crowded.”
“Fantastic, high-end grocery store with a small footprint and a large variety.
There are things you can find here that you can't find anywhere else in one place. Also, their coffee, tea, spices, and specialties (flours, extracts, produce) have varieties I've never seen before in SA.
They also have an amazing cafe and gelato counter inside where you can get great treats as well as made to order sandwiches with a huge variety of options (sometimes things that they made extras of in the bakery or deli aisle).”
“Best Supermarket Ever in fact I was a visitor from Michigan and notice how fresh the meats, seafood, produce and the cleanliness I'd the entire store great prices too keep up the good work oh my son us shipping us some fresh meats on hot ice to Michigan”
“A woman in the flower department yesterday went above and beyond! Her name was Sav! She rewrapped my roses and added a balloon and made it look beautiful! Thank you!!!”
“Honestly, I’m not quite sure which H-E-B this is because I go to so many but if you appreciate room to shop and pass each other in the isles, pushing a cart or driving one, the H-E-B on Brazos that has the parking garage attached is the shiz!!! you walk straight to a sliding glass door grab a motorized shopping cart driving in one way to the elevator and then drive it straight out when you reached your desired level. Never seen anything like it! It’s the H-E-B that carries everything not just Hillcountry fair and H-E-B. Brands that check it out.”

“I got to the Botanical Gardens earlier than usual today, so it was time for lunch when I left. I like to find "new to me" places to eat in that area instead of going back home and re-visiting the same old places. I was definitely in the mood for either Korean or Indian food, so I did a "Korean food near me" search in Apple Maps and the Korean Market was only about 4.8 miles away, so I didn't even bother looking for anywhere else. The restaurant is actually in a fairly large Korean market. I was shocked by how small it is. There are eight tables crammed into a very small room. You really have to squeeze through to get to your seat. I felt guilty because there was only one table for four left. I sat there for a few minutes before I realized nobody was coming to take my order. I asked a lady at a neighboring table, and she told me I needed to go up and order at the window. They had a nice sign over the window with the menu. It didn't have Korean names for some of the dishes. There were descriptions like: Blackbean Sauce with Noodles, which I assumed was jajangmyeon. There were plenty of good things to choose from like bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, and kimchi pancakes. The lady who told me where to order had been raving with a man at table by her about the Spicy Seafood with Noodles. I decided to order that. It turned out to be a HUGE bowl of soup loaded with shrimp, crab, octopus, squid, vegies, and noodles. The broth was absolutely delicious. It tasted of the sea. I was in heaven, although it was hot as hell! It was so hot that I had to let it cool down because the noodles hanging down from the chopsticks were burning my chin! The soup was served with four side dishes. They were kimchi, spicy cucumber, fish cakes, and pickled radish. Each was portioned perfectly in one of those little checkered paper things that french fries used to come in way back. (I did notice that a Korean man who by all appearances was visiting from Korea, got his served in silver trays.) No biggie. When I finished eating, I bussed my own table. They have signs on the walls letting you know that there is no staff to clean up after you, and you are expected to clear your own mess. I am fine with that. I wandered around the market for a while. I saw a lot of things I wanted to buy, but I have a friend visiting for a week and don't think I will have time to cook anything. I did grab some single-serve instant Tteok-bokki. I will definitely be back to eat here in the future and try some other dishes. I think I can figure out what some of them are from the description. But, just to be sure, I'll learn how to pronounce my favorites and ask if they have them.”

“wanted to take the time and send this recognition for 2 partners that have completely gone out of their way to display great customer service! Both partners are out if the produce/deli department. Mike and Diana! I walked up to Mike and made, what I thought was a weird request. I asked for a smaller portion if penne pasta. He didn't dismiss me or simply said NO. he stopped what he was doing and went and asked. A very nice lady came out,Diana was her name. she explained what she could do and made it for me. I was so happy and thankful that she took the time to help me. I have visited many HEB's and by far, this location has been the cleanest, friendliest and they always have what I'm looking for! I commute from San Antonio daily to New Braunfels and this HEB is my daily stop to pick up my lunch. This HEB truly reflects what HEB says it stands for. This location is my favorite and with partners like Mike and Diana, I will only shop here! thanks Mike and Diana! Thanks for making my day and making me feel welcome!”

“Love this spot! Beware — parking can be a real pain in the butt during peak hours, but otherwise, totally worth it. I come primarily to fill up my water jugs (.39/g), but the discount section is always a fun surprise to see what is on half-off.”
“Some items are a little more than the bigger chain grocery stores , probably because they don't have the purchasing power that comes with buying in volume . But the produce here is very nice and they have some items I can only find here . Also I don't have to wait for what seems like an eternity at the check out . The staff is always courteous”
“Ok, so I'm from out of state, and we don't have grocery stores like this where I'm from. My biggest praise for HEB is that their sushi rolls are insanely good. Like, how does a grocery store offer some of the best sushi I've ever had?! Amazing.
Also, HEB's brands are better than the competitors, and cheaper to boot. I'm sold, HEB is the best.”
“H-E-B is great! Seriously, I love this place. This location is an older store. There is plenty packed into the store but the selection is a little limited and you may not find your favorite items that are available at the newer stores. That being said, this location offers its community of shoppers everything they need. Can't find an item - just ask for help. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. H-E-B does a great job supporting and servicing their local community.”
“I love this HEB! It is quaint and small. Everything I need is here and well organized and easy to find. Great selection of wine and beer. Bakery is kind of small but it's a small HEB so it's understandable. If I need pistachio cranberry bread, almond croissants, or cannoli the Lincoln heights store AKA (the gucci-B) isn't that far away.”
“Great prices as all commissaries! Has really good pork belly, baby back ribs. Now carries beer and wine! Only downside is the very limited fresh seafood selection but they do carry a fair amount in the frozen section.”
“Excellent handmade fresh flour tortilla tacos and outstanding customer service. Came to SA for quince and stopped here while son went to skatepark. Staff was very welcoming & treated us like family ?”
“The manager christina was very helpful and friendly, helped me understand the wic process being it was my 1st time. Was greeted when walked in, love this place! Produce was well stocked and lots to choose from. I give this place 10 stars if i could! Thsnks Christina for a good experience! This will be my store for sure!”
“Great place to go to if you are looking for ingredients from 'back home'. They have things from Central & South America as well as the Caribbean, even those I've struggled to get anywhere else in San Antonio.”
“Very clean and organized but is one of the smaller stores and doesn't have a large arts & crafts section. However, the employees are always helpful and professional.”
“As much as I love this HEB, recently I noticed something that has been happening too often now. A few weeks back one of my shampoo bottles never made it back into my cart, although it had been scanned, and this time, the person in front of me’s bottle of hair product ended up in one of my bags. In general the employees here are very friendly, but it still kinda sucks when this happens because these bottles are like 10 bucks each”

“I’ve been going to H-E-B as long as I can remember. The one on almost used to be on my color and my mother and I would walk there to buy groceries. We lived a few blocks and now we have the best HEB that I am aware of and the management team is fantastic and the cashiers also I love going to H-E-B because they treat me very well and they smile and they always say hello to me because I go there every day I always go for the fresh meat, the fresh deli fresh fish fantastic if you want a good store this is a one for you”
“Everything you want! Reactive to customer needs - opened more checkout lines due to increase in lines! Very observant, with helping to scan my items walked around to cart so I would not have to put heavy items on belt. Thank you!”
“This is one of my favorite corner stores to go to off Rittiman. They are awesome about having a quick "in and out" capability in this store. A++ for this place!Place is always clean, Staff is very welcoming to a point where you feel like family. Always has a full stock of items from lottery-food-daily essentials-smoking accessories & more; with all products very reasonably priced ☺️A year ago the timing of employees wasnt accurate to the opening time posted on the front however that has changed to them opening punctually and staying open until the very last minute possible.Again... A++ to Billies Food Mart on Rittiman Rd!!”
“So I have to say, every time I come to this store it’s always clean and organized.
But I want to shout out to the management there, especially Abel, for assisting me with damage my car sustained there. They showed a lot of integrity helping me find the responsible party and for that I will always recommend shopping at this location.”
“Great service and added benefit/value added to the community. They provide products at comparable prices. There are several convenience stores on my normal route to/from home/work, but I choose to take the detour to take my business to Montgomery Food Market. They make an effort to get to know their customers. Definitely service with a SMILE. Thank you Mr. M!!!”
