“Stopped here to grab this gorgeous book with my Starbucks ?☕️
The store was so relaxing and quiet.
My sons enjoyed looking at the books. We even grabbed some books for our son’s upcoming birthday.”
“Friendly staff. New and used books. I love the organization of the books, the cultural art on display, and every nook and cranny of Marissa’s Bookstore.”
“I've been to a lot of bookstores over the years, but King's English Bookshop has a charm that's hard to find these days. The selection is thoughtfully curated, and it's easy to discover books you weren't even planning to buy. The staff is genuinely friendly and happy to offer recommendations without being pushy.
The atmosphere is warm, quiet, and welcoming, making it a place where you actually want to slow down and browse for a while. Whether you're looking for a new release, a gift, or just a relaxing stop during the day, this bookstore is absolutely worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.”
“Absolutely delightful little bookstore with a good selection of used and new books. The guy that runs it really knows his stuff and was able to make a great recommendation for me off an author who is mostly out of print just based on my interest in Jane Austen. Definitely will be coming back here”
“Such a cool bookstore! We had no idea it existed, what the trolley mall… place… was before arriving, and loved how it just opened up the further we walked in.Granted some genre’s could use a few more shelves, but there’s certainly plenty there for everyone. We WILL be back many times over.”
“Super cute book store! I was looking for a birthday card made buy a local artist and that is exactly what I found! We will be back to shop for books next time. Must go if you have the chance!”
“Had a great reading with Andy - really enjoyed the energy he brought to the reading and the genuine interest in my experience. This was my first visit, they’ve really created a beautiful space, looking forward to my next visit!”
“Annie who owns the shop is the sweetest. She has a great collection of books, and a variety of genres. Great discounts. And the shop itself is so quaint and cozy. Such a welcoming vibe all around. Highly recommend.”

“one of the largest selections of calendars available. I go there just for that. The owner is very knowledgeable & friendly. Just up the street from where I live which makes it a great place to go to.”
“This is my most favorite place to go! This place is so close to my heart, it's where I go for all of my recovery supplies and it has so much to offer. Every single person in the world should know about this store and shop here. They have EVERYTHING you need. All things to do with AA and other 12 step programs, books on codependency, divorce, co-parenting, eating disorders, and everything else under the sun you might be struggling with, and all sorts of cards that are so beautiful and unique, and coins to celebrate milestones, and beautiful decorations for your home unrest lift your spirits... I could go on and on. I love this store and I hope it never ever closes. ?”
“I enjoyed shopping here. Loved browsing through the store and finding the books and gifts I wanted to take home. The staff and service were wonderful. Purchased some lovely books for friends and family.”
“They didn't have the items we were looking for but the employee called to other locations and found what we were looking for and had them sent to this location.”
“Wendy was amazing during our visit. We are out of state visitors and of course we wanted to do all the “touristy” things including souvenir shop for family and friends back home. We had been to a few other places in different parts in and around Salt Lake (again not too familiar on all places) and nothing compared to the service and attention we received here. The other toy shop we visited (Mochi something) didn’t even greet us the entire time we shopped around so we decided to take our business elsewhere.
Wendy on the other hand greeted us right away in a genuine and friendly manner. She made herself available to us with all our questions and she even took my 5 year old seriously and helped him.
As far as the shop goes it has a little corner of the store with toys that children can play with. For those who have children especially small ones, understand that it’s hard for them to see toy and not want to open and play with them. This small area is big enough for a few kids to play a bit while you look around and shop.
The prices are very reasonable and at different price points. They don’t mark everything up just because it’s a “touristy” spot. Making it easy to say Yes to both my kids on multiple items of their choice.
Overall I recommend this place.”

“Nice place, delicious food, pricey textbooks as always but that's college. This place gives you free utensils and plates as well as bags if you ordered any sort of food that requires it. There's also a coffee dispenser which is great, lots of college people need some good coffee to get them through a tough semester filled with a ton of work. I personally like the ice cream they bring here, surprising that a college bookstore has ice cream but yes they have ice cream and it's delicious, my favorite one is the snickers ice cream. I scream for ice cream! Really delicious, anyways, they also have art supplies in here if your an art major, yes it's pricey but that's the cost of making amazing art. Love this place, very great very good very clean just has everything you could possibly need. Yes! Yes! Yes!”
“A Nostalgic Gem for Play + Learning!Tutoring Toy is a hidden gem for those seeking high-quality toys that blend nostalgia with play and learning. The caring owners are not only knowledgeable about age-appropriate toys but also well-versed in their advanced board game selection. Their fantastic gift wrapping adds a personal touch, making every visit feel like going to a favorite Auntie's place. A must-visit for unique and thoughtful gifts!”
“A wonderful little book shop. So much interesting stuff to look at, and I love the multi-level layout in their new location. I do wish they had a larger section for Fantasy and Sci-Fi books though, my inner nerd yearns for more!”
“I took my husband to Benchmark books as he was looking for a certain book. They were anxious to help him find the books he wanted. He left with 3. The gentleman who helped him was very helpful and knowledgeable! We will definitely shop Benchmark Books again!”

“The bookstore is amazing! There are used books in brand new condition and a lot of them! I found everything I wanted in addition to some gifts that they sell. There are some very nice gifts in there and I was pleased to get some amber on a necklace for my daughter. Everything is very reasonably priced, and the employees were very helpful.”
“Accidentally hit a sale and LOVED the books I found. They were half the cost of Amazon which was shocking to me! Absolutely recommend going in person. Loved the ambiance they had.”
“The service in this store is absolutely amazing ? I am so grateful for the experience I had in this wonderful store today. Georgia helped me and was so kind and so knowledgeable about the products I was in search of. I look forward to shopping there again soon.##neverstopdreaming”
“Everytime we come here, there is an older gentleman who is working, Tony. He is incredibly kind and fun to talk to. We even played a game with him and he taught us how to play it properly. This store also offers a lot of cool and nostalgic toys.
Appreciate coming here and this man. He's great!”
“I'm not Mormon but there's a good BYU Creamery ice cream shop in the back corner and an interesting collection of religious artwork to look at while eating your ice cream.”
