“The team at this Les Schwab are above and beyond. After attempting to replace my brakes by myself, I eventually had to turn to the professionals. Most mechanics will say they hate working on customers' DIY projects because they will more than likely have to fix the original problem and the mess the customer made.
However in this case the technician I talked with and who worked on my car, Jesus, was a perfect professional example. He knew all the correct questions to ask to make sure what the problems might or might not be.
He worked on the car right away and was able to readily identify and fix the problem.
In addition to the incredible work by Jesus, the entire team was so quick and professional I came in after a long Memorial day weekend and they were busy with a lot of customers, but all of the staff was able to quickly assess the customer needs and get them taken care of. I am grateful to have such an incredible auto shop in Herriman.

it's nice to know that there's still some decent people that you can count on for your peace of mind for your vehicle.... (I don't know, but, I think Mike is a decent guy but Hee was not who worked on my car solely.)

----Im posting this addition a year later: my car went back 2 M1 at least three times within 3 months of me posting my original review. They didn't even fix one of the things that they were supposed to--(that U joint.)
They replaced the battery. that was basically new.
They charged my mother 8,000 total. I had to do various things myself and now I can finally try & sell that car. I retract what I put before. At least partly. My Aunt helped me fix it. I don't suggest going here. I think the owner Mike is a decent guy that I think he needs to pay attention to whoever he had working for him. They/He/Someone, cut Corners or they lied, or were oblivious. They Replaced what wasn't needed, overcharged, admitted he put in old valve stems. They caused me more BS than I'd like to admit. I am Sure my Mom told them go thru & make it safe, etc. But, in that respect, they DID, yet DID NOT.
I WILL SAY, MY CAR WAS A 2005. THERE IS A LOT OF VARIABLES. AND WORKING ON OLDER VEHICLES. MY SITUATION WASN'T NORMAL.
THAT being said, $h*t happens. Any autoshop is not perfect. I know Mike tried to do us right. But I feel we should not have went there. ESPECIALLY AS MUCH LABOR $ MORE THAN ONE DIAGNOSTICS ETC.
Yes, it's a year later, but you see--I'm a single mom. I went through hell and I was trying to respect my mother. She was paying for it, & INSISTED IT WENT HERE - A FRIEND OF A FRIEND.... but she doesn't know about cars like that. My advice--Be very Careful. read the paperwork.
Know what the hell you're paying for, what they did, & Why. What they are going to do.
I'd ask who the hell is actually working on your car. And that's good advice for anybody going to any auto shop. Cars are fickle, especially old cars. I SUGGEST TALKING WITH THE OWNER MIKE. I BELIEVE HE IS A DECENT HONEST GUY..... BUT HE IS NOT THE ONLY MECHANIC & WE ALL TRUST PEOPLE WE SHOULDN'T AT SOME POINT.”

There is a long story I’m too lazy to type out, but basically they had a really hard time finding out what was going on with my truck…but they never gave up and were eventually able to figure out what was going on. “I run a private transportation business and I pulled out of my garage with a very low pressure tires. The Big O tire shop was super busy and I was on the phone with another company just in case it was going to take too long to fix. I had two nails in my tires one in the side wall so it needed a new tire. I took an Uber to my house picked up a spare tire from my garage and then back to the tire shop. In about 30 minutes or less I had my tire put on and I was out the door without having to pay anything. Thanks guys!”

“These guys are the best. We've been going here for almost 18 years and won't go anywhere else. Brought my old SUV in for just a front flat tire replacement, but they informed me that all the tires were very old and were in need of dire replacement for safety reasons. Because I was on a strict budget due to dealing with huge financial hardships, I couldn't afford all tires being replaced, but these guys hooked me up so much cause they understood my financial distress and wanted me to be safe first and foremost and not have to experience any tire blowouts while driving with my old tires. Been coming here for a long time and will continue to do so. They even replaced my windshield wipers complimentary simply because they were old as well. Ethical, knowledgeable, and they legitimately care about their customers and the vehicles they drive. Thank you guys so much. Yall are the best! “Very honest and fair shop. I brought my truck in with squeaky brakes asking for a brake job as I was sure I needed one. They let me know I didn’t need any work done on the brakes, but that they blew the brakes out which may help with the squeaking. They didn’t charge me. I’ll definitely be back!”
“UPDATE: Got a call from Javen, the new store manager. He listened to me, and understood where I was coming from. Apologized for the incident and offered to make it right. I now have the correct tire size on my car. It handles better and he has restored my faith in Discount Tire.

They installed tires that were not the correct size for my car. I had paid for the correct size of tire and made an appointment at this specific location. Even checking the availability of the correct size prior to purchas and appointment. When I got there, I was informed that they didn't have my tires in stock, but was advised that they had a different brand that was just as good but got better wear. So I said okay.
However, within the year my tires where showing a lot of wear. The front two tires were wearing out much faster than the back two.
With Winter coming on, I decided to get two new front tires due to my car being Frontwheel drive and the back show almost no wear at all.
Took my car to someone else and found that the tires I should have gotten, 235/55 R17, were not what was on my car. The tires I got were much smaller.
Be sure to check your car and don't just trust that they will put on the correct ones. Not ever going back.”
