“I have a fractious arthritic cat (a loveable challenge even on gaba, if you will), and in the past some staff at other vet clinics have become frustrated with her and treated her less gently. It can be hard to find a cat-friendly vet.
ALL the vets and techs at University Vet treat my cat INCREDIBLY kindly, which is the basis for effective care. She comes in at a minimum once a month for a Solensia shot (would recommend), and each vet tech that handles her has been very understanding of her fear and the challenge she offers. She has seen several vets here and I've been very impressed with their handling of her.
They do not have seperate a waiting area/entrance for cats, but do have a large lobby and call pets back quickly so I haven't found that to be a huge problem.
I've found this vet office to be flexible and accomodating for urgent and routine care. They do xrays during dental cleanings, which is particularly important for older cats. They're knowledgeable about cats and the care/treatments they've offered have visibly improved my cat's QOL. I've recommended this vet to friends with cats and heard back positive things.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever met a veterinarian staff as kind, compassionate, and thorough. They have always given outstanding care to all of the dogs that I have had. We recently had to put down one of our dogs who had been with us for almost 12 years. Hannah and Dr. Cannon, along with the other staff, made sure that we had the time we needed to grieve and say goodbye. I cannot express enough appreciation for the compassion they showed. “My Maltipoo needed medical care ASAP! I searched the Internet for any local Vet in my area and they were all booked! A visit to the ER- Vet is too expensive. I came across VCA the all pet vet care in Taylorsville, Ut. I spoke with Maddie and made a same day appointment! Dr. Neville & Staff answered all of my questions and concerns. My dog had ear infections in both ears, skin allergies and possibly a Foxtail stuck in her ear. Dr. Neville scheduled next day Treatment Procedure (sedation) to clean out & check her ears. Dropping off my dog and picking her up before & after the procedure was easy! The Treatment procedure went well! No Foxtails!! My Maltipoo is recovering great after only one week! Dr. Neville even called to follow up on her condition. The Facility is clean, well maintained, the staff are all helpful, friendly and professional. They have Doggie treats! ??? We were treated like Family and not just a number! Without Pet Insurance, VCA made my pet visit AFFORDABLE!! The First Time Customer initial Pet Wellness & Health Check was FREE!! The Treatment Procedure (sedation) and Medication didn't Break the Bank! I would Totally Recommend VCA to my Family & Friends to bring their Fur Babies here! Thank You Dr. Neville & Awesome Staff for taking Good Care and showing Kindness to my Collie girl ??”

“We started taking in feral and abandoned rabbits from out neighborhood. One of the first issues we ran into was the cost of spay/neutering services for them since they are considered "exotic". Brickyard was the first affordable rabbit vet I found in the Valley. They are also easy to get an appointment with. Places like Wasatch Exotics there was a month + weight for. That's not sustainable if you have multiple exotics or an emergency. We have had more than 10 rabbits have surgery with Doctor Allen and they've all been great. They have seen our buns for various issues and love it. The staff is so caring and kind. Love this place never going anywhere else if we can help it.”

“Dr. Edmonds and all the folks we interacted with at this clinic were incredible.
My husband and I have a 14-year-old-pup who is definitely aging (early kidney, liver, and heart disease), but still relatively healthy all things considered. We are doing things to mitigate the newly developing health issues, but also want to be conscientious about unnecessary medications and their side effects. With our previous vet, we left the last visit feeling overwhelmed, undereducated, and not really heard. The appointment was rushed, and it was hard not to feel that that vet didn't have time for or interest in our perspective and concerns. The other vet wanted to start our little fella on a number of medications all at once - some definitely necessary (i.e., treating and mitigating liver and kidney disease), others not. And there was this sense of fear that our pup was going to suddenly and rapidly decline, despite very normal activity and behavior.
Seeing Dr. Edmonds was a night and day difference. He was calm, thorough, and very informative. He gave us more time than I think we were technically scheduled for, which I know isn't always possible, but with the laundry list of worries and questions, it was so appreciated. He listened openly to the insights we felt like we had to offer as the ones who see our pup day-in and day-out, but also talked with us (as opposed to taking at us) about what he was seeing as a vet and which health concerns needed attention versus the ones that were mild enough to really only warrant observation for now. We left feeling informed, prepared with what to do to care for our aging pup effectively, and much calmer overall.
In addition to Dr. Edmonds, all of the gals working there during our visit were so kind and professional. Our tech in particular was very sweet to our pup, and listened with a lot of care and concern to my husband and I (and we can be a bit chatty haha).
