“Took my lx in for steering issues, and while replacing the rack and pinion, they must have fried vgrs sensor, didn't charge me for fixing the vgrs (not a cheap module, btw), and they got it fixed. Plus, their lobby is very well themed for land cruiser lovers. Just a cool shop, in top of doing great work”

“I came in with a low almost flat driver's side rear tire. They found a nail in the tire, fixed it and didn't even charge me. I asked them to charge me, and they still didn't. Needless to say next time I have something far more sinister going on I'll take my truck to them and they will charge me.”

“I want to give a huge thank you to Jesse at Mike Palmer Automotive. Even though they didn’t end up servicing my vehicle, his honesty and willingness to help made a huge impact. When I called and shared what the dealership had told me, he immediately recognized several red flags and strongly urged me to get a second opinion.
Jesse took the time to guide me on what questions to ask and even recommended another shop to check things out. I followed his advice, and I’m so glad I did. The second diagnosis came back positive and ended up saving me $10,000.
Unfortunately, their Toyota specialist was out on medical leave at the time, otherwise I would have absolutely trusted bringing my vehicle to them. That said, Jesse’s integrity and genuine desire to help (even when it didn’t benefit his shop directly) speaks volumes. I would not hesitate to contact Mike Palmer Automotive in the future. “Took my wife's 2013 Toyota RAV4 in for service. The dealer told my wife that her timing cover gasket was leaking oil and needed to be replaced. Cost? Over $3,000. There was a big oil stain where she parked. Ray called to tell us that there was no timing cover oil leak. When the Toyota dealer did the 120,000 mile maintenance, they flushed and refilled the transmission. When doing so, they tightened the drain plug but left the filler cap or plug, loose, causing transmission fluid to leak when running. We did have all new shocks and struts installed and they did a great job. Take your car to Action Auto for service and repair. Ray will treat you with honesty every time.

“My wife and I were on our way to Bryce and Zions when our Subaru engine decided to bite the dust. Our tow truck driver recommended us to Clarks Auto. We wanted to finish our trip and asked Clarks Auto if we could have our car towed in the following week. After finishing up our trip, we had our car towed in to Salt Lake to Clarks Auto. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful given our situation.
Devon at the front desk communicated so well with us. Letting us know what was happening with the car and were very transparent with what needed to be done to get the car running again. I've never worked with a mechanical shop that truly cares about its customers. That communicates so well and keeps you in the loop with what's going on. They're honest, straight forward, and do phenomenal work! Our car runs so smoothly now and have zero issues. If you're looking for an independent Subaru shop, that does amazing work, communicates well and goes above and beyond what any mechanic shop I've ever been to, go to Clarks Auto.”
