“After my review of Burt’s Brother’s and doing some research, I ended up calling Excel Automotive and told them the issue with my car. Turns out Burt’s Brothers was right with their estimate in cost of brake repair but also confirmed I WAS RIGHT too in my assumption that the brakes had been bad for a while should have been brought up way before it reached the point of where they were at.
Richard and his staff are personable and mechanics that have come from other dealerships that share the same belief of being honest with people about their cars and not always trying to upsell customers on stuff not needed or keeping repairs hidden from customers until the cost has hit an astronomical point.
I happily paid the $800 to Excel and have been a loyal returning customer since then. They always speak to me about my concerns about my vehicle and i never feel rushed. And more importantly, I never felt taken advantage of. Cannot recommend Excel enough to people who share the same concerns I do about car repair shops.”
“Mike was great to work with! He helped me out when my car wouldn’t start at a nearby gas station, I gave him a call and he ensured me he’d be able to help me once the car was towed there, or if I couldn't get a tow figured out he would help arrange that, too! He also answered each time I called, which was comforting. My situation with parts was annoying and a hassle to deal with. He was kind and patient. He let me know what was going on each step of the way. When all was said and done he gave me a fair and honest price. He also stayed after hours to make sure I was able to pick up my car. “Have been going to Foothill Tire Pros for years. Recently my Jeep had some brake issues and they cropped up immediately after they had inspected the brakes and rotated tires. It turned out to be coincidental timing, but Foothill Tire Pros and its manager, Dustin, were willing to make the assumption of fault and arranged to have the Jeep towed to the shop without protest. It ended up having nothing to do with their service, something they suspected from the outset, but they did it anyway. I think that "customer first" mentality is rare these days. Will continue to be a customer here for years to come.”
“I had a unexpected timing belt tensioner noise that is a precursor to a timing belt failure that shouldn’t be ignored. They fit me in last minute to complete it in time during my workday. I expected a few seals to be replaced due to oil leaks, they said there was no issue and wouldn’t do anything. I appreciate the honesty and ease of establishing an easy working relationship.”
