“Had a lovely, enjoyable visit today. My first time there. Bought a gorgeous, slightly gaudy pink rhinestone brooch likely from the 50s or 60s and some hilarious greeting cards. Tons of cute vintage Halloween stuff today. Lots of unique art. Nice slightly upscale feel but free of pretense.
My 20 year old son would have liked to see some vintage military things, but we couldn't find any. He loves old war helmets, uniforms, medals, insignia, and field guides. Not the store for that kind of thing, but I liked it.
Both of us agreed it would have been great to find more vintage items here, hence the 4 star review. There seemed to be a lot of new and Halloween-themed things, more than we expected in a vintage-focused store.”

our thing. We went through, Tried our stuff on, and when we checked out my fiancé asked the clerk if he knew any good places to get boots, and the clerk was super knowledgable on vintage clothing as well as pleasant to speak with. Overall good vibes!”

“This uptown Cheapskate is very well stocked. I got in and out so fast and their offer was pretty good. I think we all like to think our used clothes, shoes and accessories are worth more than what they offer but I feel they offer fairly. The staff was kind and respectful of items they took and those they didn't. This location being downtown definitely doesn't have the best parking but the one in sugar house isn't much better with the parking. I do think overall they offer more than other stores like this.”

“Very high quality selection with a new rotation of clothes every time I go. The only complaint I have would be the prices on their Tees. $25 is a bit steep for a used shirt. Other than that, I've found great sweaters and coats here and I'm looking forward to their spring summer collection.”

“The shop was quiet but had a great selection, was specifically pretty impressed by all of the boots. I just wish there were more form fitting sweaters and non baggy clothing. Otherwise good picks, Clerk was very friendly! Even gave us the belt I picked for free on top of everything we picked out since it was a big haul. solid place. :)”
“Angela helped me today, and she was incredible. I originally came in just to purchase something for my son, but after she assisted me, I ended up finding so much more. I asked about one item, and she went above and beyond—pulling multiple options, guiding me to a fitting room, and helping me try pieces I wouldn’t have chosen on my own.
Because of her, I left with three full outfits! Her eye for style and willingness to help truly made the experience.
It’s rare to find this level of customer service anymore. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, but Angela really stood out. I’ll definitely be back!”
