“West Addison General Store or W.A.G.S. is just across the New York Border into Vermont. A very nice country store with a little bit of something for everyone. Post cards, fishing equipment, a deli, great coffee gas, lottery and more. Stop in and tell them that I said hello.”
“Five-Eleven Deli Mart operates on the classic small-town principle of “we’re the only option, so deal with it.” Everything in the store is overpriced, from snacks to basic groceries, but hey, when the nearest alternative is 10-15 miles away, they can get away with it. The pizza? Surprisingly okay—not amazing, not terrible, but perfectly mid in a way that actually works when you realize it’s the only pizza option in town. If you’re desperate for a slice and don’t feel like making a drive, this is where you end up, and honestly, it gets the job done.
The owners and staff? Nice people, genuinely friendly, and you can tell they care about the place. The problem is, that care doesn’t always extend to cleanliness or checking expiration dates. You’ll occasionally find something on the shelf that looks like it’s been waiting for a buyer since the Obama administration, and the general level of upkeep leaves a bit to be desired.
Still, for what it is—a small-town convenience store that also happens to sling some decent pizza—it’s fine. Just don’t go in expecting a bargain, a deep clean, or the freshest selection of anything.”

“I am a truck driver and had a great experience at Jiffy Mart. My company sent me to this store to get fuel nearby where I picked up my load and had difficulties using my fuel card (due to company had inactive status) until Michelle came to help me and talked to my company for me and got everything squared away. Michelle and her co worker were nice and friendly and loved my experience there. Michelle even gave me a discount with lher loyalty rewards lol.. Whenever, I am in Vermont I will definitely stop here even if its just to say hey. I saved this address in my truck gps to stop by when I am in town . Thank you again for the great hospitality.”
“Friendly people! I stopped there during a long bike ride to buy water and coffee and they watched my bike while I put it against the window so that it wouldn't get stolen.”
“I go in generally every day. Most of the people who work there are absolutely wonderful and try to go above and beyond. I only have a problem with 2 people who work there at the moment. Her hair is dyed green. The other is a girl that wears like a winter hat most days. The one with green hair is very lazy and does not want to do anything. Doesn't matter if she's behind the register or working in Amato's. The girl that wears the winter cap. I've only had one issue withwhen when she was trying to have me leave, which I hold on to my receipts. At the same time, there was a homeless guy who almost never buys anything that she never said a word to.
He did not buy anything that night.
He just went into the bathroom and washed up like he normally does. The acting store manager and the district manager are quite amazing people. Josh, and the kitchen manager, and Abby, and there's another gentleman that's usually working in there's glasses they are amazing in Amato's. Abby seems to really enjoy her job, and she's extremely pleasant to everybody. No matter where she is working in the store or what she is doing. You ask her a question she is on it. The only thing I can really say bad about this store is that the deck needs a good scrubbing and power washing and the exterior walls of the store. Need a good power washing. Is the gas pad around the fuel pumps not very wheelchair friendly. Although you can move around on it, it's just a little rough. The dining area doesn't seem to get swept and mopped. And the microwave doesn't always get cleaned as often as they should Before the pandemic, the kitchen would do them every day when they're closed.”
“They actually have a pizza oven here, so the pizza is much better than any other gas station you'll find. New York Style, they usually have cheese, meat, and a barbecue chicken for slices. Nice bathrooms too.”
“The reviews are true. What a find! On the way from northern NH to NY we needed a pit stop and something for lunch. Stopped here randomly and noticed right away the two smokers outside - never a bad sign. The store is small and funky, with a little bit of everything, from pickled eggs to chocolate to boots to beer. Lots and lots of different kinds of beer.
The best part was the food. We ordered a smoked brisket sammitch to split and it was off the charts. Really, really satisfying. Tender, smoky, on a tasty bun. The menu is huge for such a little place, you're certain to find something to tickle your taste buds.
Staff is friendly, service was quick, and prices were very fair.”
