“AJ's Sunoco has been doing work for my company (We're a used car dealer) for many years, and my experience with them has been vast, lengthy, diverse, and phenomenal all the way around. First of all, this is a family business run by a mother, father, and son. They are good, honest, hard working people who have been in business at this location for over 30 years. It's the kind of place that used to exist everywhere in VT 30 years ago, but has become increasingly hard to find. What I mean by that, is if you go in with an exhaust leak for example, they don't immediately tell you that you need to spend $3,000 and replace every piece of exhaust on the vehicle. If they can, they'll offer you the option of an affordable repair, as opposed to immediately jumping to an expensive replacement. When I first started doing business with them, I assumed they would just kind of be able to do basic things like brakes, tires, suspension, etc. I quickly realized that the son, Steve, is a Master Technician. In the many years I've been doing business with them, there have only been a few times that I had something that he wasn't comfortable doing, and in those extremely rare instances, he has always been up front about that. They very rarely make mistakes or misdiagnose anything, and in the rare event that they have, they immediately take responsibility, regardless of the cost. I am one of the most beloved and highly reviewed dealers in our area, and I confidently recommend to all of my customers that they service their vehicles at AJ's. They are honest, highly skilled, reasonably priced, and they have a customer first mentality, just like my business. What more could you ask for?”

I was really annoyed tonight though when we rushed to get there and they shut off the pumps and were closing by 10 of 10. We ended up driving 12 miles to Plainfield for gas. Open until 10 means UNTIL 10. The same employee has often been in the parking lot, cleaning her car while on shift and other stuff I won't get into here. But not much of a work ethic going on. Seems like it's time for an employee eval.”

The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades.
