“I am an AT hiker and would absolutely recommend this motel. I got a discounted rate and the room is clean, offers laundry, offers shuttles to and from the AT, and is walkable to town for food. Very comfortable.”
“Great location, easy to walk to restaurants downtown. Room was in excellent shape, very clean. Loved the unique tile in the small bathroom. All necessary amenities were provided. Our room was on 2nd floor, very quiet. Breakfast provided hot and cold items. The eggs were wonderful, good hot coffee. All we needed! Staff were friendly. The hotel pool was being worked on but we wouldn’t have used anyway. It is outside surrounded by nice slate, looked inviting. Be aware there are three different buildings so you do have to go outside if on building 2 or 3 (a note in case you’re there during rain). Access road is rough pavement but upper parking lot is in good shape. I would have given it 5 stars except for the bed. The fitted sheet came loose during night and there wasn’t a mattress pad, only plastic (ugh) and pillows were not comfortable. Also TV was only streaming, hard to figure out remote.”
“This hotel is nothing like it was before. Bev land her husband jimmy have put a lot of work into changing things. The atmosphere is better. You feel safe because they work hard to keep suspicious activity and drugs out. They put new floors and showers in. It has a way to go but has come very far from what it was. I don’t normally write reviews but when people work hard to make a difference it shows and shouldn’t go unrecognized.”
“My family and I have been here since November. It has been a great experience. My son has made friends with cleaning crew and gets excited when they come to the door. He's going to miss them when we leave. Also want to say to the owner thank you for letting us be here and the room will be spotless before we leave ?”

“A great place to stay! We got a great night’s sleep here while traveling. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a slight error on a booking site that allowed us to book a room after the office had closed, but the owner was so kind and accomodating despite the late hour. We really appreciated it and will stay there again if we are in the area!”
