Pet Sitting & Training

Grateful Dog Training, Inc.
204B Manchester Valley Rd, Manchester CenterSo glad I found Grateful Dog. My over excited lover of life enthusiastic Bernese Mountain puppy of one year, MaKoa thought he was Baryshnikov. Impossible to walk him as he would leap into the air out of nowhere.
Needed help . Found Grateful Dog and enrolled him in day training 2 x a week .He would get so excited and sing as we turned the corner to his lesson then drag me to the door .
After one month he was able to complete all the commands. Very grateful for Grateful Dog

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Ye Olde Tavern
5183 Main St, Manchester CenterTo celebrate America's 250th birthday, my wife and I chose a restaurant with history to match the occasion—Ye Olde Tavern in Manchester, Vermont, a landmark dating back to circa 1790. It was the perfect setting for a memorable holiday dinner.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly, attentive service from our server, Jamie. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and rich with history, making us feel like we had stepped back in time.
We started with an Old Fashioned made with Smugglers' Notch bourbon for me and a refreshing Blueberry Refresher for my wife. The homemade cranberry fritters served with Vermont maple butter were an outstanding way to begin the meal.
Next came bowls of the delicious Cheddar & Ale Onion Soup, followed by the Maple Butter & Walnut Encrusted Brie served with Vermont apples and toasted baguette—an excellent combination of sweet, savory, and crunchy flavors.
Our entrees were preceded by fresh field greens salads with balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles, along with warm, freshly baked bread. I thoroughly enjoyed the Traditional Pot Roast—tender brisket slow-cooked in the tavern's Circa 1790 Amber Ale with rich pan gravy. My wife chose the Scrod with pumpkin seeds, butter, Chardonnay, and lemon, which was perfectly prepared and beautifully balanced.
To finish, we shared the Cranberry & Apple Crisp topped with local vanilla ice cream and whipped cream—a fittingly New England ending to an exceptional meal.
The combination of outstanding food, welcoming hospitality, and the unique historic atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. If you're visiting Manchester, Ye Olde Tavern is well worth a visit, especially if you're looking to enjoy classic Vermont cuisine in one of the state's most historic settings.

Up For Breakfast
4935 Main St, Manchester CenterAight, place is worth the hype. Somehow they make pancakes that are indeed out of this world. The sourdough toast/bread is 10/10. Oh also the potatoes that come on the side of the like standard breakfast are SO much better than they have any right to be.
There’s also a coffee special that reminded me of muddy waters in Burlington and was truly fantastic.
Service was also very friendly and crazy fast!

Cold Cow Creamery - Dairy Bar
4645 Main St, Manchester CenterWe were looking for ice cream and found this place about 20 min from where we were staying. On the drive, we started reading the reviews and cracking up at some of the stories. While they don’t normally serve ice cream indoors, they let us sit in as it was raining. Service was prompt and friendly, and when we asked about the old reviews we were delighted with funny stories from misadventures as a business owner. Not often you get free entertainment to go with delicious ice cream, highly recommend!

Charlie's Coffee House
39 Bonnet St, Manchester CenterHad one of the best egg and cheese sandwiches on a toasted, buttered bialy here yesterday. It wasn't like a New York City bialy, more like a flattened roll. But the taste was out of this world. Literally, one of the best egg and cheese sandwiches of my life. Not even exaggerating.
