The Dog and Cat
1056 Mountain Rd, StoweGreat store, way bigger inside than it looks from outside. They have a great selection of items to choose from, and the gentleman working the front was really friendly and helpful.

Pet Grooming

Dogs Etc Grooming & Day Care
782 S Main St, StoweWe were on vacation in Stowe and our Bernese was having some difficulties with ice getting trapped in between his toe beans. The groomer at dogs etc was able to squeeze us in to trim his nails and shave the hair in his paws. She was great and we so appreciated her being able to squeeze us in. She also gave us some great recs on things we could do to keep him comfortable. We wish we had time for her to groom him as well! Thanks so much for your help!

Butler's Pantry Breakfast and Dinner
128 Main St A, StoweWe stayed at the Butler house Inn and came downstairs for breakfast twice. Tried other establishments in the Stowe downtown and nothing else came even close! The food was amazing (highly recommend the eggs Benedict and get the homemade biscuits and maple sausage with your meal even if you need to do it as a side). It’s the best sausage I’ve ever eaten, no hyperbole! If you stay at the Inn, don’t forget to tell them because you get a 20% discount on breakfast

GiraKofi
1880 Mountain Road # 5, StoweThe laid-back, restrained vibe reminds me of a European coffee house. It’s not “touristy”. The staff is competent but not gushingly friendly which I like. The coffee is good as are the croissants. I love to walk on the rec path and stop in for a cappuccino. It’s my favorite coffee shop in the area.

Trattoria La Festa
4080 Mountain Rd, StoweWe enjoyed a delicious and wonderfully prepped dinner here post our elopement in Stowe. Our experience was amazing from start to finish. My husband reached out to the restaurant and told them that we have a party of 10-14 guest and it's on their peak fall weekend. They responded kindly and said to preselect our meals and send them our choices a week out and they will have food and appetizers taken care of. Prices were reasonable too. Our experience got even more special when they offered for us to use to their private dinning area it was a large room with one giant table. They even asked if we wanted any special decor or centerpieces which we opted for one because we are minimalists. They were also kind enough to let us drop our wedding cake and store it till dinner. Overall this place is INCREDIBLE!!!! The food was so very tasty. Our party was raving about the food. Here is what we tried...
Veal Parmigiana
Chicken Parmigiana
Eggplant Parmigiana
Chicken Carbonara
Shrimp Scampi
Bread baskets for appetizers
Charcuterie boards for appetizers
Overall we highly recommend this place!!! You definitely won't be disappointed

Stowe Cider
17 Town Farm Ln, StoweMy wife and I love cider. And there is no better place to get cider than where they grow the apples themselves. It was a cold and rainy day so the cider house was a little slow but that didn't stop the cider from flowing! The space is very nice and open with tons of seating inside as well as outside {when the day's are nicer}. The people working are great! Everyone is awesome, greeting you with a smile and helping you with recommendations as their menu is extensive. Next time we're in town we will definitely take more time there.

The Alchemist Brewery
100 Cottage Club Rd, StoweWhile planning my trip to Vermont, I came across ? The Alchemist Brewery—home of the once world-ranked No. 1 beer, Heady Topper. I’d been dying to know what it tasted like.
It’s about a 50-minute drive from downtown Vermont, so I hesitated a bit, but since the Ben & Jerry’s Factory was on the way, I decided to make a little adventure out of it.
The first sip tasted like a classic IPA—aromatic and refreshing—followed by this surprisingly bitter finish.
I read the description and saw it supposedly had the flavor of cannabis.
I was so startled I actually called over a staff member to ask if it really contained cannabis. Thankfully, it doesn’t—just a taste note that resembles it.
And that’s how I learned what “cannabis-like” tastes like.
The vibe was great, and the staff was super friendly.
Definitely worth the trip. Recommend!

Après Only
433 Mountain Rd, StoweTheee most elegant place this side of the east coast! Alexia was attentive, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. The ambiance serves the decor. It’s the kind of place you can bring your family (kids), your spouse (romantic) or your friends (social) and still have a great time. We were fortunate to experience the live open mic. The band was absolutely phenomenal!!! The food was great, drinks were great, service excellent, location- pleasantly surprising!! A gem in Vermont!

Stowe Public House & Bottle Shop
109 Main St, StoweThis is a nice place to buy drinks made in Vermont. We got some ciders and beer. There's also a wine selection. The guy at the cashier was really nice and helpful. You can make your own 4pack. They have a European selection as well.
They have a bar inside wherein you can drink some flights. Good place to stop by!

Woodland Baking and Coffee
394 Mountain Rd, StoweWe absolutely love Woodland Baking and Coffee — it is hands-down our favorite spot in Stowe! The coffee and the matcha are always perfect, the baked goods are beyond amazing (truly the best anywhere around), and the PEOPLE make it what it is.
Anna, Claudia, Molly, and Peyton are always so friendly, kind, and welcoming. Sue and the incredible baking team make everything with love and these goodies are legendary! Honestly, I’m surprised by some of the negative reviews — we have been regulars for a while, and every visit feels like stopping by to see friends. The vibe is warm, local, and genuine — maybe the folks leaving bad reviews are just having a rough day.
Thank you Matt for creating such a wonderful local business. Stowe is lucky to have you all!

Doc Ponds
294 Mountain Rd, StoweFood was amazing. Loved the vibe. Server really struggled to take care of our table, answer basic bar questions, and tab out gift cards. As a previous server it doesn’t feel good to step in and tell a server that yes, they can do that… but unsure why if you weren’t sure of an answer you wouldn’t ask a coworker instead of telling guests incorrect info. Will come back and hopefully have better service.

Piecasso
1899 Mountain Rd, StoweWe came twice on our short visit to Stowe. Service was friendly and attentive, the menu was extensive with lots of variety, and the food was uniformly delicious. (Loved the Vienna pizza!) We were also delighted by the variety and tastiness of gluten-free options. My daughter has celiac, and we were so appreciative of the care they take with making this a safe dining experience. She had such a good experience that she made me take her photo by the Piecasso sign and post this review!!

Thai in the Mountain
504 Mountain Rd, StoweI had eaten here a few years ago and hated it. Years ago, the chicken was of poor quality. I stopped in the other night in a hurry, and it was delicious. It turns out there is new ownership as of 2025, and I have now eaten here twice in one week. If you tried it long ago and were disappointed, give it another shot.
