“Hotel was very clean and inviting. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly. There is plenty of underground parking ($35/night), with limited outdoor parking. The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable.I wish the bar was open a little later on the weekends. I arrived back to the hotel around 9:45pm to find out the bar was closing at 10pm, bummer. Also, I reserved the Executive King, with the Upgrade option to the Presidential Suite (If available). When I looked at my bill, they charged me for the upgrade even though the PS was not available. I called back to the hotel to request a refund and was given a very hard time by Candy. I asked to speak with the manager, who was Jim (I believe) and addressed my concerns. He sincerely apologized and smoothed everything over.Nonetheless, I would definitely come back to this hotel. As a matter of fact, a group of us who want to do a staycation, are planning on coming back here in a few months.”

“Great price (booked through airbnb), fantastic location, super clean rooms, Amazing customer service! Especially Tonya she was very knowledgeable about the area and things to do. She went above and beyond to try to accommodate us for an extra night. Couldn't thank her enough! Highly recommend will definitely stay again!”

“My choice for my Staycation. Perfect location in regards to several tourist attractions in the Mount Vernon Virginia area. My room was comfortable and very clean. This hotel has been remodeled and it shows. It's beautiful. Hotel was peaceful and quiet. I slept soundly. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The Peloton bike was a great add on. Breakfast was hot and delicious with several choices. Great stay.”

“Noteworthy details: When the snow storm of 2024 hit Virginia I searched for a place to stay nearby. My criteria was simple: clean, comfortable, non-motel, under $100 stay. I was pleasantly surprised at the luxury environment this place provides. It was remote, yes, and my view was a roof of something yet, the amenities and environment was perfect ❤️ The lack of luxury customer service did not deter my peace because the place and stay exceeded my expectations for a total of $108 I paid out if pocket. It's a steal at this price! Highly recommend!”

“Fantastic Place!!!We surprised my mother in law from California to Washington DC to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture this week.We stayed at this lovely hotel where we were greeted as though we were family. The service was fantastic. I don't understand why it's a 2-star hotel? We had the best service around. Our rooms, and bed were very comfortable, clean, quiet.Wanna give a big thanks to Mr. Stacey. He It's so professional, my mother in law forgot her phone charger and he quickly allowed her to borrow one. He gave us suggestions for fantastic food like Della J's Soul food.Mr Marcus is another great employee. He repaired a toilet paper holder quickly for my mother in law.Safety: Never felt unsafe”

“I spent a wonderful weekend at Hotel Indigo. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. My room was clean, spacious enough, and had a great view of the courtyard and river. Incredibly easy access to all of the great shops, bars, and restaurants in Old Town. You can walk anywhere in a matter of minutes. Parking was a very minor concern in my eyes. The underground parking is limited and very tight. I will stay there again.”

“Stayed here on new year eve for 1 night. There was no self parking in the hotel but they offered a valet parking. The valet service was convenient and fast. The hotel located in the center of tourist attractions and easy walk to the waterfront of potomac river to see the firework. Lots of restaurants nearby. The service from checkin to checkout was awesome. The room was on the small side but was clean and have everything you need.”

The lady that worked 10/02/2020 around 7-9pm very nice and helpful one of the best comfort inns I've stayed at- better than the in springfield va on loisdale drive or road maybe( the one across from springfield mall)- very clean smelled cleaned- looks up-to-date- bathroom very nice and clean as well! Probably will stay again next time I'm in the area!”

If you simply want a place to lay your head for a while, the Budget is fine. Unfortunately, not everyone understands - it's called "Budget" for a reason.Most people that have written a negative review are obviously of a different ilk accustomed to the Four Seasons. “It's been a year since I was last here, and the rooms were pretty dated then. I arrived last night and was pleasantly surprised to find that they are renovating! Big improvement in the rooms, everything is fresh. This hotel is in a great location, and about a 3 minute walk to Wholefoods, CVS, and Table Talk (a good local breakfast joint). Hotel gym is above "basic" and gets the job done. A bonus is the rooftop patio?”

“Overall nice room. Very small bathroom. Location is very close to Starbucks (hotel coffee was average). Close to Metro for easy access to central DC and sightseeing. Although there is nothing worthwhile seeing within walking distance of the hotel. Bed was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping staff did a very good job every day refreshing our room.Some components could use an upgrade: shower head was very loose and didn't work that well, bathroom sink barely drained, bathroom mirror was waterdamaged, refrigerator made lots of noise so I had to unplug it, Bathroom exhaust was poor. Hallway has a musty smell.The last night we stayed there we noticed silverfish in the bathroom.I am disappointed they started charging $20/night for parking. Apparently you can park in the Metro parking lot across the street for $8/night.4-stars is generous.Noteworthy details: Best for access to the metro for day-trips into DC.”

“Rooms are very outdated and bed was horrible. I would of been better of sleeping on the floor. Rooms were not the cleanest. I cleaned everything before I used anything and the dirt was on 1000. Please update Rooms and clean better. Breakfast could have been better. But decent enough to hit the spot?. For the price of it. It kinda sums it up as to you get what you pay for. But to save money this is the go to place.”

I came there under a stressful personal situation but after my stay there , I’m feeling much much happier. “Today is Oct 19,2023. I have been here since Sept 19th. I relocated here for work looking for a place to live. And I have a German Shepherd.Location is great close to highway lots of stores/restaurants walking and with in couple miles: not to far from Reagan airport and about 30 from Dulles. 20 min drive from DC.Cleaning ladies do a good job: Looks and smells great after. Tell new sheets and everything horizontal is wiped down. However, the floor if I wiped it with a towel was always grey (from the water not being changed enough mopping). They don't wipe down the walls, trim or doors. Other mention my key had to keep getting reprogrammed.Staff was always professional, friendly and accommodating. And I liked their coffee.Walkability: You have everything in walking distance. Restaurants, grocery, dollar and clothing stores, bars, fast food, gas stations.”

“I was truly blown away by how delicious every single dish at The Study was. As a Guatemalan, I found the creative use of Latin American ingredients and flavors in the unique dishes at The Study not only interesting and creative but also familiar and nostalgic. I love it when food takes me to a happy place. Chef Tomas Chavarria and chef Madeline Guzman can really create magic in the kitchen. Some of my favorite dishes included the kalbi ssam short rib lettuce wraps, the sweet plantain empanadas, the Costa Rican ceviche, the duck magret and achiote, the tres leches, and the coffee flan. I also loved the seasonal cherry blossom-inspired cocktail and the mocktail they prepared specially for me. I really loved the ambiance, and even though I had dinner here with friends, I think this is the perfect restaurant for a date night or for celebrating something special.”
