“Pleasant stay at a beautiful resort. Love the open outdoor feel inside of Gaylord Hotels. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the steakhouse too, although a bit overpriced. Gorgeous views from our balcony inside of the atrium and of the National Harbor outside. The staff was helpful and friendly. Loved walking around outside of the hotel as there is alot to do and see. Beautiful fountains, riverwalk, restaurants, shops and entertainment steps outside.”

“A top notch hotel! The staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful. We stayed for a long weekend and are coming back again for a second stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated with many amenities. And the location is ideal for visiting Georgetown or downtown DC. We enjoyed very much the bar/lounge area. A very cozy setting for a late drink or just a cup of tea/coffee with dessert.”

The beds are super comfy, love the pillows! It was quiet too, so we had a great night's sleep! We had breakfast at the hotel, it is a buffet on weekends and holidays only. We got free breakfast with our stay (something Expedia gave us) and it would have been almost $100 for it. It was definitely a nice breakfast, but that is a little steep if you ask me. The last day we were here was a weekday and we had to order off the menu, very pricy but everything was excellent. Dolly is a fantastic employee! Very attentive and so nice!

“A truly impeccable hotel. I stayed 3 nights with my wife and our two kids (10 and 6). We were pleased with the cleanliness and the modern style of the room. The room is decorated with great taste, albeit functional as a hotel room should be. Hardwood floor in place of the usual smelling carpet is a major plus imo. Bar and amenities top notch. Of course, I was able to forget my personalized Houston Astros baseball hat at a nearby restaurant, and headed to Dulles for an overseas flight. Ethan's assistance (front office) was stellar. No question asked, he got my hat picked up by a staff member at the nearby restaurant (5-10min walk) boxed it and arranged shipping for me. Truly outstanding service, I wish I could put 6 stars on this hotel. Please keep up the great work at that flagship location. We will be back. Cheers from Belgium.”

“The bed is comfortable. It is quiet and away from the busy road. The building appears clean and seems to be well maintained and regularly touched up.

The room is not large. You can put your own drinks in the refrigerator. No snacks are provided, but there are 2 bottles of water. The shower has strong pressure. There is no ceiling light above the bed. The bathroom is modern.”

“Beyond my expectations! The service and the people are what make a place and this is it! They go above and beyond. We will definitely be back because of them.
The turn down service is a nice treat too. I’m in love with this hotel and I could talk so much about the quality it offers. The blinds open automatically. The views are amazing. We got a corner room.
Sad it didn’t have a pool or hot tub or a coffee shop within. We walked to the Westin to get Starbucks.”

“First of all, the location is great.
I enjoyed jogging every morning to the White House, the Capitol, and the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. There are many delicious restaurants and cafes nearby.
This is the best location for sightseeing in Washington.

It was a two-bedroom room, and one room had an independent bathroom and closet, so it was comfortable, and the other room had a wide bed and closet, so it was comfortable for four people to stay without being cramped.

The living room was surprisingly spacious and the kitchen was perfect for cooking.
(However, the knife was not very sharp.)

I stayed for a week and enjoyed Washington to the fullest.
I will definitely use it the next time I visit.”

“Hotel is undergoing some renovations. The nightly evening reception is enjoyable, with access to a variety of snacks and refreshments! Aidan is the best! Always humorous and keeping the bar crowd happy with quick service! The jerk chicken flatbread is also amazing!”

“We had such a wonderful stay at The Darcy in Washington, DC! Traveling with young kids can sometimes be a lot, but the staff here made everything feel easy and welcoming from the moment we arrived.

The housekeeping team truly went above and beyond—they tidied up after our girls and thoughtfully restocked everything while we were out exploring, which was such a gift to come back to. The doormen were always kind and helpful, and the front desk staff were exceptional—graciously lending us umbrellas and even a stroller, all with genuine warmth.

Our room was on the smaller side, but it was so well designed and perfectly appointed with smart storage and everything we needed. The shower was a highlight—great pressure, warm, and stocked with spa-like soaps that made it feel like a little retreat at the end of the day. The room temperature stayed comfortable the entire time, which made for restful nights.

The location is fantastic—close to parks and so many attractions, making it easy to get around with kids.

Overall, such a thoughtful, family-friendly stay. We’d absolutely come back!”

“Make sure you visit AJ at the Watering Hole bar outside the Intercontinental at the Wharf! He is the best and nicest bartender around and takes care of everyone, including the pups who visit! Highly recommend sitting outside for a drink or three.”

“This review is for Refika and Rafika only! Actually all of the valet staff were phenomenal. Rafika was exceptional and helped us out so much. We traveled with my 9 month old and had a lot of luggage and a large stroller and cooler with frozen breast milk. The hotel itself would get 1 star from me, but I had to shout out Rafika and the rest of the valet staff for going above and beyond. There aren’t any elevators on the ground level and the lift for luggage carts/wheelchairs/etc was broken during our stay, so Rafika was kind enough to come up to our room and make multiple trips with me and our luggage while my mom waited in the room with the baby. Even when the front desk told us no one could help us due to not having enough staff. Overall the hotel is not accommodating to traveling with little ones, but I can’t say enough good things about Rafika and the kind valet staff at this hotel.”

“This is our second time staying here and it is our DC go to! We love the rooms, the staff is absolutely amazing, and we got upgraded to a suite as we are celebrating my wife’s birthday and Valentines Day. The cafe is extremely nice and food was fantastic. If you like staying in historic building with amazing character, Hotel Lombardy is for you.”

“This is a top tier hotel experience for the Navy Yard area; we stayed for 2 nights for a baseball game and hitting some sites around DC and it was a great experience from time you exit your vehicle. The styling of the hotel is absolutely well thought out and beautiful. The details in the selection of the furniture to the flooring and all of the decor is a very classy vibe to say the least.

The valet services were fast and organized, check in was extremely fast and our room had an amazing natural light with huge windows and a beautiful bathroom. My favorite part of this stay was the bellhop, Million, and his bright personality. In addition to the rooftop bar, the breakfast at Surveyor was incredibly good.

Every staff member we came into contact with made us feel like we were their personal guest and it is a unique feeling in a hotel to receive that kind of hospitality from all the different levels of staffing involved in running a hotel this size.”

“Tucked off of King Street with a nice quiet courtyard you find this modern boutique hotel. Interior is all new, clean and very well maintained. Staff were exceptionally welcoming, helpful, and happily accommodated my requests. Great breakfast restaurant off the lobby. Room was large and well furnished. Overall great hotel !!!!”

“I loved the location and space. My room was so big and comfortable. The rooftop pool/bar is cute, the gym well equipped but a little small. Was traveling solo for work and the Viceroy was a great choice -- it was so easy to get around DC and so many good spots close by. Will return/recommend to others!”

“Update from a previous review:

This is my third time staying at The Dupont Circle, and we got off to a pretty rocky start. However, the staff was determined not to let a few challenges prevent them from providing the stellar service that they are known for.

Upon check-in, my wife and I were immediately assisted with our bags and escorted to the elevator. Our penthouse suite was absolutely splendid - it offered 180 degree views of D.C., comfortable seating on the balcony, and automatic blackout curtains. However, the accommodations weren't even the best part of the stay; the staff, including Thomas and Lamond at the front desk and Abby at the Pembroke, truly made our stay unforgettable. They were attentive, kind, accommodating, and responsive to every request. To attest to the degree that they went above and beyond: I mentioned off-handedly that we were attending a Formula 1 event during the course of the weekend, and they centered several experiences around that seemingly innocuous comment. The Pembroke created a crafted dessert (with the F1 logo on the plate) and there was even a model F1 car in our hotel room during an evening turndown service.

I am absolutely floored at the care and consideration of the staff, and I am definitely converted into a loyal repeat customer. As I visit DC often for work and play, as do many of my colleagues, I will be recommending The Dupont Circle from this point forward.

“OMG this is an absolute perfect place to stay when you are in the Baltimore area. Rooms are 100/10. My corner suite had a 180 degree view of the city. I am love in with this property!”

“The experience here was good. The hotel is nice and well maintained. I was here for an event and the hotel is beautiful, let's get that right. It just set us back a bit since one of the elevators weren't working and the stairs didn't go to the top floor. Or at least I don't think they did. “Honestly, one of the best days I’ve ever had in DC. Our company will definitely be using this Hotel again. I’m a dog lover, so it’s one of the most dog friendly hotels in the area. I mean, not notice I need disruption from the dogs staying here so I’m wondering if they keep them all on one . The staff went above and beyond in all aspects of service. This comes from a very well traveled person. Whoever is managing this, Hotel knows exactly what they’re doing by the people they hire. The Little hidden gem is the restaurant. Where they have a secret gluten-free menu. I was able to order this delicious gluten-free veggie egg Benedict! The lattes are pretty good too, no fancy coffee drinks, but a really good restaurant for breakfast and dinner.”

“We stay here 4-5 times a year due to work and it’s the best hotel in the country. Incredible breakfast included and a happy hour from 4-6 every day with 2 free drinks?!?! But the cherry on top is their superstar Mikey G who takes care of us like royalty. I travel 20 times a year. He is best customer service on planet.”

“Second trip for us this year. It’s not too bad of a drive for us coming from Pennsylvania. The rooms are great and the staff are fantastic. We always have a great time doing the scavenger hunt. The outlets are always great for shopping!”

“Update After Checkout:

Though I stand by my various areas for improvement, I’m updating my review from 2-stars to 4 for a few reasons:

1) our stay improved after that first day, including having the internet working flawlessly the last two days of our stay.

2) our room, and the hotel overall, were actually very nice (though the lack of attention to the various details I highlight below still were surprising for a property of this quality).

3) the front desk manager Adam went out of his way to make up for the various issues we were having and ensured our stay improved after those first 36 hours. His responsiveness to our concerns made a big difference.

Original review: This supposed 4-star property isn’t yet ready for prime time. I’m staying here now and we’ve had a terrible experience, despite staying in one of the nicest rooms available (a one bedroom suite on the top floor).

Where to begin…perhaps with the internet that has maybe worked 2 hours out of our 36 here so far. Or how about the bait-and-switch “Autumn special” that included breakfast when we booked, but failed to mention that the restaurant isn’t yet open for breakfast so what’s included is coffee and a croissant at the coffee shop off the lobby. Add that to the terrible tv interface in the rooms that claims to allow casting from your favorite streaming service but doesn’t work, no towels or cups for water in the gym, no place to get ice or fill water bottles on the floor, only one towel hook in our enormous bathroom, meaning one of us has to leave our wet towel draped over a chair in the room, etc., and you get a hotel that looks nice, but fails at so many important details that makes a good hotel stay. Oh, and the hotel is far away from the sites and action in Alexandria. Won’t be staying here again and will be asking for a refund for our special “breakfast” package so we can use that money on a real breakfast elsewhere.”

“A new hotel, perfect for active travelers. A contemporary style, what you might find in new hotels in Europe where efficiency and economy are not compromised. The location is perfect, close to Broadways music spots and other attractions but being about two blocks away has you outside of all the crowds. Great staff, great service at a very economical price.”
