I had a long shopping list that included ingredients for several recipes at my last visit and had a hard time finding everything (not too many floating employees on a Sunday), but I did manage to find everything on my list! TL:DR - Hiring process is crap and annoying to deal with, Hispanic section is good, and their donuts are AMAZING.
Come here AT LEAST for the donuts, fr worth it.
8 of my friends (9 including me) never got any kind of response when we applied to work here, plus the managers always seemed to mysteriously unavailable to be spoken to.
I've literally called the store, got told to call back the next morning, called the next morning, "Manager on vacation" :/
when will they be back? " X date." Thanks so much.
Called back on X date, "She'll be here tomorrow morning" thanks.
Calls back tomorrow morning, "Hi, not here. Call again tomorrow morning."
At which point I came INTO THE STORE to speak with this elusive hiring manager, just to be told that they were on vacation and won't be back for a while.

So suffice to say, hiring process seems messy, outdated, unreliable, and flat out non-functional at times.
The website needs to be updated, the employees need proper customer service training because regardless of what I'm calling about, and who's answering, it's always in a tone that sounds like I might aswell be interrupting a neurosurgeon mid incision.
The only redeeming quality of this store is what it sells, and I'm not talking standard groceries.
Not only does Shoppers have a decent spread of hispanic foods, ingredients, drinks & snacks, but it's also got some of, if not THE BEST donuts you could buy from a store.
The donut chains like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme got nothing on SFW donuts, they got Croissant donuts (Cronuts), marble iced, Holland Creme (my favorite), jam filled, lemon pudding filled, boston creme, and of course all your standard donut types like powdered, brown sugar, plain and glazed, not to even mention some specialty ones they have on occasion like the apple pie filled brown sugar, or marbled icing cronuts.
Plus they're reasonably priced, which automatically raises the rating for me.

“My go-to chain and it’s close to my home.The produce isn’t bad which is a plus. Some things can be a little pricey but I like this chain for the selection of the international food items I use frequently. The staff are always so kind as well. The store is always very clean no matter the time of day.”

I only started shopping at the store back in March and I don't know if I have ever shopped at a grocery store where the staff has been so friendly and really seem to be happy with their job. “I don't have a lot of prescription needs, but whenever I do go in to Neighborhood Pharmacy, I am greeted name, which is amazing. They help with costs by applying coupons which I would not know about, and treat me like a valued customer. Even though I moved "across the river", I still use NP as my primary pharmacy. I've never had such great service anywhere else.”

“First time here - Fancy, Expensive, Yet Lovely...Usually Whole Foods is the only upscale grocery store that comes to my mind until I went to Wegmans for the first time. There were some hard to find items that I have not been able to find in Wegmans that I can't find in any of the grocery stores here: Lapsang Souchong Tea, Chamois pepper sauce for fruit, and Hing for seasoning my mung beans. Yet I was impressed by the well displayed fruits, meals, and kitchen/ dining ware. The wine & beer section was very impressive. I got an Australian wine and a Grateful Dead Cabernet. I wanted to buy more wine despite I have stopped drinking until the holidays, yet I know where to get a good priced wine from New Zealand, France, or Australia. Wegmans Veggie chip snacks (24 bags for $12) and baked chips in small bags were a steal. A bag of pears for $5-$6. 12 packs of Asian seaweed snacks for $7.99. Everything I purchased was an affordable deal despite the store having mostly high priced expensive items. I was tempted to buy a fruit or cheese appetizer platter until I saw the price was $22 or more. $6.99 for jumbo juicy blueberries was a pass too. Wegman snack & food products and high quality wines from foreign countries at very affordable prices are the reasons why I will come back to this store.The Wegman shopping card membership is free and scores you reduced prices on their products. You don't need a card to access it - just sign up for it at customer service. They have reusable shopping bags for 99 cents. Their grocery carts have drink holders too - a big plus.”

“It's fine. I haven't had issues at the pharmacy like others have mentioned. The only problem I have with this Giant is that the self check out is too strict with where you place your scanned items. If you don't immediately place the item on the small square where the plastic bags are located, it'll interrupt the system and you'll have to wait for a staff member to unlock the system so you can resume. But I've just gotten into the habit of stacking my groceries on that square and then bagging them after I've paid.”

They are always available via phone, knowledgeable, and will help you navigate your insurance to find the most economical options for your prescriptions. There is nearly never a big line. I've gotten vaccines here too, and they did an excellent job. After a few years of coming here routinely I've gotten to know some of the pharmacists, like Rimsha, and every single person has been so kind and competent. You all rock!”

“We come here at least twice a week and absolutely love it! The store is always clean, well-stocked, and the staff are super friendly. One of our favorite things is the café area—it has great coffee, plenty of space to sit, and you can bring your laptop to get some work done or just relax. It’s such a nice vibe, and we really enjoy the whole Wegmans experience. Feels more like a little community spot than just a grocery store. Love this place!”
