“I'm very happy with my two year residency at 1800 Oak. It's super clean, safe, and an overall calm environment. From the front of house, to leasing office and maintenance crew, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help. I love the location of the building and that it's a Bilt Rewards Property, so I'm able to earn points on my rent payments. (I've booked three free flights so far.) And, most importantly, my dog loves the free treats at the front desk and the fanfare when he walks through the door.”

“I wanted to write this review and give a special thank you to the leasing staff of Pershing .. Toyin he was exceptional in communicating with me when the apartment that I originally applied for became unavailable and actually went above and beyond to find me another unit larger than the one before with a great open kitchen..( I love to cook). Cal and Charlotte have been amazing with communication and even went above and beyond to ensure the unit I needed would be ready. LJ is always pleasant and has been amazing with the tour process. I cannot wait to call Pershing my home .. and I love the fact that its still close to everything. Thank you team I owe you all a round of cupcakes!”

“I have been staying here for the last 7 months and have become very friendly with the staff. Myra is very sweet and always has a smile on her face. I love that they are painting walls and cleaning carpets so the place stays looking nice. They also keep the place smell great. You would never know that there are many pets in the building from how great it smells and look.”

“I've been living in these apartments for two years. Honestly, I'm very happy with everything. The staff is very friendly, and if we have any issues, maintenance comes quickly, even on weekends. The pool is beautiful, and the gym is spacious, so there's no need to pay for an external one.Unfortunately, the buildings are quite old, so they occasionally interrupt water for pipe repairs. I'm grateful they inform us well in advance so we can prepare, but it wouldn't be a reason not to live here. The location is perfect, and the price is affordable.”

“I lived at the Reserve at Clarendon for 3 years and the only reason I am moving is because I moved into an house for more space. I loved my time there and was always so pleased with management and maintenance, always very attentive and nice. Definitely recommend, and location is hard to beat!”

“The service provided by the staff here is just great. Maintenance requests are always promptly handled and resolved. And the concierge staff goes above and beyond regularly. They’ve tracked down (and retrieved) packages misdelivered to other buildings in the neighborhood; and recently did the legwork to FedEx me an item that I left home while traveling - I couldn’t replace it or go without it and the staff was able to find and retrieve the item, box it up, and get it to FedEx so that I got it in time for an event.”

“This apartment is excellent. The staff is both incredibly responsive and helpful, plus the location can’t be beat. Emily, Dennis, Shaukat, and others all do a great a job and are proactive if residents need anything. There’s also excellent access to parks, nightlife, gyms, transportation, and even a Trader Joe’s within a 5 minute walk. The apartments are also built well with solid appliances, open spaces, and great views.I see a few reviews here also mentioning high rent increases. Mine was not nearly as significant (less than 6%), and given inflation over the past year, it makes sense. It’s possible these tenants started renting prior to the major price increases across the entire housing market. With that said, it’s more affordable than most apartments in Clarendon, not to mention Arlington more broadly.Lastly, their renovations are looking like they’re wrapping up soon, and their gym and lobby area will be significantly upgraded with it. Definitely recommend this place to people who are looking to live in a super walkable area with a nicer apartment and lower price than living DC.”

“I’m a former resident of the Beacon and their staff has always been top tier. Since I’ve left I spend a lot of time at the reception desk while visiting my old friends that still reside there. Rahel has been beyond accommodating for my almost daily visits. Always smiling (even when I can tell she’s busy). She’s the Michael Jordan of concierge’s and I’m pretty sure she will be running the company soon.”

“I love Union on Queen! I’ve been living here for a few years and I love the ambiance of the building. The manager puts together amazing events for residents, especially the Saint Patrick’s day event! Very kind, warm, and welcoming staff!”

“Brandi was an exceptionally helpful leasing agent for us — and helped my partner and I get into a great unit very quickly. She wasn’t only welcoming and fun to work with, but also went over and beyond to help us get our ducks in a row and get the new place we needed. There was a lot of detail to get through quickly and she made that process simple and intuitive (and fast!). She’s also just clearly a wonderful person. We are super glad we found her and would highly recommend anyone looking in the area to check out the building — and find time to do a tour with her!”

“Lofts 590 is such a beautiful community! The staff is so lovely! Especially Shauntia and the concierge! They were so polite and helpful! After having a tour of the place I locked in the apt the same day. I’m so excited to move into my new place thanks to Shauntia”

“I have resided at 1401 S Joyce Street since January 2022. I love living here and hope to continue here for a long time. The management team and the staff are helpful, caring, trustworthy, and friendly. My husband and I feel very safe and secure at 1401 S Joyce Street. A special thank you to a special lady named Angela who has a Mona Lisa smile. Thank you for a beautiful and safe place to live.”

“Sun is an incredibly talented seamstress. My now husband went to her first to get his suit pants hemmed. She had mentioned that she alters wedding dresses too. When I finally found my wedding dress, (mind you only two months before my big day!) I immediately took it to Sun. She hemmed and added a bustle to my dress, which was ready in just three weeks! I was so impressed by the quality of her work and the quick turn around. She made us look great on our wedding day! Go to Sun for all your tailoring needs!”

“I love living here. If you want to live in the Arlington metro corridor but don’t want to sacrifice quality of living, this place is for you. The staff is so friendly and knows everybody. It truly feels like a community. The amenities, including a pool, gym, indoor and outdoor lounges, and a coworking space, are all top of the line. Similarly, the apartments are thoughtfully designed and beautifully appointed.”

“Charmaine and the front desk concierge staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! Charmaine did a thorough walk through of the floor plans, amenities, and helped answer all my questions during the tour. She clearly is well liked by the residents!”

“I recently moved out of Central Place after residing here for four years. Despite a largely positive experience, there were a couple of significant issues that influenced my decision to move.Firstly, there was a persistent problem with the low water level in the flush toilet bowl. This issue lasted for about a year. The last time I reached out to maintenance, they informed me that the problem stemmed from a broader issue with the building. Despite a year having passed, this hasn't been addressed.Secondly, many pet owners in the building are irresponsible. They frequently allow their dogs to urinate right at the building's entrance. The bricks outside often appear yellow instead of grey and carry an unpleasant odor. The situation was exacerbated on one occasion when my boyfriend encountered a puddle of dog urine right inside the elevator. The front desk attendant had to clean it herself. Apparently a dog owner left the scene without notifying anyone. The elevator had a foul smell for two subsequent days. However, aside from these drawbacks, my experience at Central Place was overwhelmingly positive:Exceptional Front Desk Staff: They were always friendly and accommodating. Every single one of them. They would assist by opening the door when my hands were full and direct me appropriately whenever necessary. Their professionalism far exceeds what I've encountered at my new place.Responsive Maintenance Team: With the exception of the toilet water level issue, the maintenance team was remarkably prompt. Typically, they addressed any problems within two hours of my lodging a complaint.Understanding Leasing Staff: I frequently used an international credit card to pay my rent, which occasionally resulted in payment failures unbeknownst to me. There are penalties for late payments, but the leasing office was always understanding. On the few occasions when my payment was delayed, they waived the penalties after I explained the situation.Central Place was more than just a residence to me over the four years I lived there. The commendable professionalism of the front desk staff, the quick responsiveness of the maintenance team, and the empathy shown by the leasing office made it feel like a community. Although I had to move due to specific unresolved issues, my overall experience was undeniably positive. For anyone considering a stay at Central Place, I would highly recommend the place.”

“I lived at Virginia square plaza for 5 and a half years and my time there was absolutely wonderful. The building staff is amazing, Ayan and Sabrina were always helpful in solving any problem I was having. Maintenance was always prompt and my issue was solved immediately. The unit itself was also good, the walls are pretty soundproof, I never heard my neighbors and there wasn't alot of noise from the very busy road outside. Common spaces were always clean and well maintained. It's a very affordable option for the location. Overall I will always cherish the time I spend at vsp and will miss hanging out at the front desk.”

“The Clark has continued to feel like a Family to me! Travis is a God-send in maintenance, Douglas is a class act and warms up the energy In Concierge, and Johnathan’s morning greeting and event planning has put all the icing on the cake! I love this place!”

“Great location. Located in the quiet Lyon Village neighborhood, with beautiful homes and plenty of sidewalk space. Right next to Lyon Village park, with tennis/basketball courts. Across the street from a Giant, CVS, and Walgreens. 10-12 minute walk from downtown Clarendon, where you can find a Whole Foods, bars/restaurants, and the Clarendon metro station. Just down the street from a Mom's Organic Market.I found the complex to be very quiet, and the other tenants were very respectful. The office manager, Faye, was very helpful and kind. The maintenance team was very responsive, and requests were usually completed within 24 hours. The outside of the complex is very nice-looking, with brick buildings and trees surrounding the property. I lived in a one-bedroom apartment and found it to be very spacious. The kitchens are very large (lots of counter space) and have modern appliances, including an in-unit washer/dryer and a gas stove with hood. The units have original parquet wood flooring. The doors have arched tops, which adds a nice touch. Note that this means the walls are plaster (as opposed to drywall), so it is more difficult to mount heavy items on the wall. The price is very competitive. I easily paid $200-$400 less per month compared to similar (or lower) quality 1 bedroom apartments in the area. Having water, sewage, trash, gas, AND parking included in the base rent is incredibly rare for Arlington (you just have to pay rent, electricity, and internet). The units are heated using radiators (gas), so you don't have to pay for heating in the winter. Guest parking is free, and there's always plenty of overflow space across the street at the Giant parking lot.Overall, I had a great time living here, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to live at a good price.”

“I have lived here for 14 years and own two units in the building. While the building is nearing its 60th birthday, it is still in great shape. All the inspections are up to date and the association gets regular reviews of its budget and capitol projects to ensure that the building remains safe. As an older building, you get cool things like more space, beautiful original parquet flooring (if it hasn't been replaced), large balconies, ample parking, and thick, concrete walls that mitigates noises from the neighbors. In these 14 years the building has done a remarkable job of updating and improving. Off the top of my head, we've had new chillers, new boilers, new plumbing, concrete repair, new lobby, new rec room, new party room, renovated laundry rooms and regular washer/dryer equipment updates, renovated hallways, new elevators, updated gym, and updated pool. But because the building is old, has 504 units with 1000+ people in it, and backs up against a creek, you may see the occasional bug. There is regular pest control paid for by the association and individual units can always ask for extra visits. Being in an urban area, pests are inevitable - I have friends who live in brand new luxury apartments/condos that face similar problems to the Carlton with pests. In my 13 years I have never had a pest problem in either of the two units I own.The community is very friendly - and pet friendly too. Management does a remarkable job, especially given everything they need to deal with on a daily basis. They are running a multi-million dollar annual budget building with 1000+ people. All the staff are friendly and professional, and care about the community as if it were there own.Bottom line - is the building perfect? No. But it is well-run, in a great location, and amazing value for your money.”

“hi. this is from John and Karen and we are delighted to live here and call this home. Moved here from dreadful Dweck-owned slum at nearby Crystal Towers and have been here happily since May.Safe, clean, quiet, professionally managed community (thanks Glenda G). Compared to Crystal Towers where security and cleanliness is non existent, The Point excels. Management takes security, cleanliness seriously. No airbnb and student dorms here like Crystal Towers. The maintenance team is fast and responsive-Jorge, Victor, etc all pleasant.Concierge is soooooooo nice, helpful. Mary, Kevin, Monique etc all are 10 out of 10 and really shine. Such pleasant and helpful staffRory, Tiffani in Leasing always go the extra mile to answer questions and are just plain genuinely friendly. And Glenda the Managers runs a tight ship here.”
