Goodwill of Greater Washington Retail Store is a local nonprofit that helps transform lives through education and employment. Shopping at these stores offers good value on items like clothing, books, furniture, electronics, and household essentials. The store has a decent and regularly replenished selection, with friendly checkout staff who assist customers. Shoppers can find good deals on purses, wallets, lamps, and other items, though some prices, like running shoes, can be higher. Donation experiences vary; some staff are helpful, while others can be rude, and donation hours often differ from store hours, making drop-offs sometimes inconvenient. The store occasionally faces issues like power outages, leading to closures. Overall, the store provides a variety of items for the area and supports a mission to provide free job training, education, and employment services for people facing barriers.
Very organized and quick drop-off. Drive up, hand things to the employee, and tell them what it is. They take it and put in the applicable bin, cart, or shelf.

I’ve had good experiences shopping here. Some (not all) of the donation staff can be downright rude. About 30% of the time when I try to donate here it is an unpleasant experience, like today.

Pricey but fun to look around and I found a few gems.
