“A destination playground! A huge variety of equipment, partially fenced, decent shade in some portions. The sandbox is a hit and big kids love the massive rope course and slide structure.
The community center across the parking lot has public restrooms during business hours.
Free parking lot, though it's often full, with free street parking surrounding the park as well.
Pavilion often has parties happening under it on the weekend. Sundays are CRAZY during farmer's market season.”

“Dawson Terrace Community Center and Park is north of Rosslyn in a mostly residential neighborhood called North Highland. It's along the highway and the Potomac River. The community center itself is in a historic stone building. The park is behind it with a section for smaller kids and a rope playground with a massive blue slide for older kids. There's a trail that leads to the remains of a castle.”
“If you are a veteran, you should be going to the American Legion. Come out to Post 85 on Thursday nights for darts. They have 4 dart boards and plenty of darts. Plenty of good people.
Bands come out on occasion. Never know what's gonna be playing. Other events happen ask the time.”

“The United Services Organization or USO, is the marquee organization in the United States dedicated to making the lives of service members (those deployed forward and those here at home) just a little bit easier. Scratch that, they make a HUGE difference in the lives of America's military and the loved ones left at home. There are other service organizations helping our military and our veterans, but USO sets the standard and remains literally on the front lines and in our home communities. EVERY TIME I deployed, USO was right there with me and more importantly, with the folks with whom I serve. They take care of us and they're right there for our families as well. If you miss reading a bedtime story to your kids because you're in Kabul? The USO has a program where they'll video you reading that favorite bedtime book and then email it off to your kids. Want to watch the Super Bowl or a World Series Game? The USO is there to make sure you don't miss a move! The USO makes leaving your family behind suck a little less and they make coming home a lot easier too! You just can't say enough good things about the USO, but my thumbs are tired so I'm going to stop now. My only hope is that other service people or their families will post more pictures so my ugly mug isn't the first thing Yelpers see when the search for the USO Headquarters!”
“I am so thankful for TU. I realize all the great work the local chapters do, but let's not forget the national organization in the Washington area. It is so important to have someone there watching and trying to influence legislation on behalf of trout habitat, conservation and sport trout fishing. In the most recent article of Trout, apparently TU was critical in getting government dollars for trout habitat improvement. That is fantastic and we should all do what we can to support them.
A special shout out to Amber in customer service. Nice to have a friendly, welcoming voice to answer questions. They put together great prizes for us while raising the needed funds. I am going to challenge myself and try to become a life member of TU next year. Maybe it's time for you to do this as well.”

I had so many negative experiences and little resources or anyone I could turn to for help. I was in the process of losing everything, housing and transportation and they came through for me when I felt completely hopeless. I was helped by Ruth . She not only took an interest in my situation but me as a person. She showed kindness , respect and compassion with no judgement but chose to help me . This has been a blessing I will always remember going forward.”
“People may have their grievances about Yoga Alliance and they are the closest thing to a certifying body that we have in the United States. It is unacceptable for them to not take action based on leigitmate grievances and please tell me what alternative you would suggest for a certifying organization for yoga teachers in the United States. Personally, I have had no issues with YA so far.”
