“Amazing variety of products, food, produce, snacks, seasonal goodies, and more. It's very clean and such a wonderful team there. I wish they had opened one in Chester.”
“My new cool place to shop. Looks of fresh vegetables and fruit. I was also surprised by the wine selection. There’s more than just Two Buck Chuck here. I enjoy being able to get in and out. They staff is also very helpful and friendly. Great visit. Great visits to come!!!”
“Good variety of groceries and prepared foods. Fresh produce, meat, seafood, pizza, and flowers are on offer along with a great selection of wines at good prices.”
“This is actually one of the nicer mainstream supermarkets or grocery stores I've ever lived near and been kinda forced to use for a short period of time. If you live near one and can plan to buy according to their promotional scheme and schedule, it's definitely somewhere I would choose to shop.
That being said, I did unfortunately have to deduct one star from the otherwise perfect rating. But their operational structure and pricing and promotional work are obviously aimed at a slightly higher demographic than that of a retired disabled man on a fixed income. Now when I was working, I'd definitely have chosen this Publix. Great staff, very clean and well run. But they simply don't have prices that make it workable on a fixed income.
I won't mention the competitor that I usually shop. But they offer a lot of meat, one of the biggest expenses in your food budget, that is "reduced for quick sale". Every day they take anything that has less than 48 hours before it's use by date and reduce it. Sometimes as much as 70%. This is HUGE when you're trying to live on $300 a month in food. But there's something to be said for Publix standards that they won't allow customers to buy anything that might be less than absolutely perfect.
One other thing that would help is that because you're obviously focused on upwardly mobile professional couples with a couple of kids. This is why you do specials where the customer has to buy 5 of an item to get the lower price. Or you do buy 2 or 3 and get one free. My preferred store allows you to get the sale price with their member card, even if it's a buy three and get 50% off. You'll still get 50% off even if you just need one. And their member card deals really do save you about 25% if you watch what you buy and when. So it simply costs about 20-30% more to shop at this Publix.
And for brief background. I've had several surgeries over the last few years that restrict my ability to walk up and down stairs for a few months. So I've been staying at an extended stay hotel within walking distance (for most people. I've been doing it in an electric wheelchair). So I was kind of a captive audience for several months, several times over the last few years. And I can tell you real comparisons from the times I was here. As I always shop with this one lower priced chain of grocery stores.
My only suggestion after all that is that you put together a few member program pricing incentives aimed at single or married with no kids at home older couples who often have to decide between food and the medication that keeps them alive or reduces their pain.”

“Wish I started coming here sooner! The staff is very nice and friendly, the produce selection is top notch, they carry so many keto-friendly foods, and everything is priced very fairly.”
“I love shopping at Publix. The store is always kept clean, the produce is fresh, and the staff is always knowledgeable. I have never been told "I'm not sure" when I ask them a question, and I run instacart orders, so I have some questions!”
“This place is filled with all sorts of wonderful Halal items. The staff was very attentive and respectful. I look forward shopping here often. Thanks for a wonderful experience!”

“Unbelievably low prices. I like corned beef brisket a brisket that would have cost $60 at a neighboring also favorite grocery of mine only cost $24 at Aldi. One thing that is an issue there is no handicapped electric cart for those with difficulty walking such as myself. Plus there are no shopping bags if you don't bring your own you're carrying your stuff out in your arms. So you must always carry a bag with you. And that is not any inconvenience. I view that as part of why their prices are so low.”
“Just like all the other Aldi locations, this place offers a great place to buy groceries. The prices are always fair, and the small store makes it easy to be in and out. Only thing I wish was that they had self check out. The lines can be long.”

“Shopping at Food Lion has always been a fantastic experience! From the moment I walk in, I’m greeted with a clean, organized store that makes navigating easy. The produce section is consistently fresh, with a variety of fruits and vegetables available at great prices. The meat and seafood departments also stand out, offering high-quality cuts that I can rely on for any meal.
What I truly appreciate is the affordability—Food Lion’s prices are often lower than other supermarkets in the area, without sacrificing quality. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. I also love the convenience of their self-checkout lanes and the ability to order online for pickup, making my grocery runs faster and more efficient.
Whether I’m grabbing everyday essentials or planning a special meal, Food Lion has become my go-to supermarket. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality, affordability, and great service.””
“The Glen Allen Market always has what you need, whether it is groceries, fresh meat, beer and wine, homemade meals and desserts. They also have excellent customer service.”
“My go to here are usually Conte Bike Shop and Wegmans. Wegmans took some time to get the layout due to vastness, but worth the time. Great prepared meal options from heat and eat to ready to cook. I recently discovered the Sketchers outlet. Big store with a big selection for all ages.”

“Love, love, love this grocery store. I defected from CTown Kroger a couple years ago and never looked back. Staff are very friendly and helpful, it's rarely crowded, and they're rarely out of the staple items I need. The below-ground parking deck is also a huge plus to stay out of the elements when you take your groceries out to your car.
This would be a 5-star review if they would get rid of about half of their fleet of Cadillac-sized grocery carts and replace them with twice as many of the smaller carts which apparently EVERYBODY wants, because there are none available 9/10 times I'm there.”
“Been coming here for a while and I’m not sure why but EVERY SINGLE PERSON here is amazing. Have not had a single time where I thought anything negative about this location. The kids who work here are always top notch and nice as can be. The products at Publix are of course always amazing as well. I could not be happier with this location.”
“Was in the neighborhood leaving Plant House across the street and was curious what this small grocery store had. Well, to me and my boyfriend’s surprise they had hot food and some really good options might I add. We got 2 sandwiches, fries, and cake. Everything was fantastic and not a long wait either. This will definitely be a new spot for us! So good and we will most definitely have to try their restaurant”
“Employees are friendly and helpful! Prices are very good and the variety is comparable to larger stores. My go to store, been shopping there for more than a decade now.”
“Every time I go into the bike shop I get great service and advice. Braden and his team are top notch. The bike shop is awesome and you can always double up on something for the kitchen. Wine selection is also awesome. The guys are also very community minded.”
“Can't say enough good things!!! The staff is super helpful. They go out of their way to find what you ask for in the back. Their produce are fresh. I love the gelato. The parking lot is very convenient.”
“I love going to this store, but it appears they don't do any recovery at night. Merchandise on the top shelves is pushed all the way back and unreachable. I have to go to to customer service to ask for help. I wouldn't even comment on it but it has been an ongoing problem.”
“Great place to shop if you are looking for specialty ingredients. They have great deals on meat but have to get there early or they sell out. Not a lot off staff, deli neve4 has anyone there. The meat market is the best part of this store.”
“There are other larger markets obviously and they do not have a fush market inside but their selection of items seems to be more varied even though they have smaller quantities. If you are looking for harder to find items give them a shot and if not found just head down the road and try the other large Asian store.Definitely try first.”
“I made it into the store in time to get my favorite Deli sandwich from a staff person who knew my name. ? Often, I find new products even local specialties to try. I love to explore the bulk section, but they carry the basics too. Worth your trip”
“Pricey but almost always worth it, whether it’s a lunch date or just to grab a bottle of wine. The staff is kind at all locations and the iced coffee is 10/10, every time.”
“This grocery store has a nice craft beer selection. The self serve check out machines are credit card/debit card only. The same machines do not dispense cash either. Generally speaking there are no baggers either.”
“Just walked in for the first time today. The owner and her staff were so kind, warm and engaging! The produce was priced very well. They carry a selection of meats, pastas, seasonings, etc. specifically Sauers seasonings - which have probably been sold in markets along this strip for the past 100 years. It’s a huge blessing to have this convenient little market right in our neighborhood.
I was ecstatic to find wild pear kombucha from blue ridge Bucha. I used to buy cases of wild pear kombucha from Aldi’s, but they stopped carrying it! I hope that she’ll continue carrying it!”
“One of the best food lions ive been in. And i cant tell you how happy I am that they do not have self checkout. I mean really really happy. I hate self checkout”

“Place where you can go to buy food and other things since they have many brands and theirs is fantastic. There are also many Food Lions that are close to my home.”
“This lidl have everything you may need in-between your big grocery shopping day. But for some odd reason they did not have cinnamon the day I was there. Nevertheless, I would go to pickup something I may need quick and in a hurry. I do wish the icecream selections was better.”
