“The ladies here were very helpful here. I called ahead asking if they had maternity pants since I had just given birth unexpectedly and had no clothes with me and they were very helpful showing me all the clothes that they had that would fit me. They had all the ones they had in the store waiting for me upfront when I arrived and even just listened to my story. I normally shop online because I didn't have a store close to me but they were very welcoming and definitely going to be coming back in store just to shop to see them!”

“While Athleta is still on the pricey side, they do run periodic clearance sales or final sales that make their apparel affordable. I went in today just to look around and was pleasantly surprised to see an extra 30% off clearance sign. A jacket that was originally listed for $178, I ended up getting for $55. It's also nice to see a line that has something for all body types and sizes. They have a girls' line too.”

“Several months ago, my husband received the usual excellent service he has come to expect from the LL Bean Charlottesville, Va., location. Mack was looking for a new pair of jeans. Because it was very late in the season, not much was available to try on. However, PRINCEY worked with him for two hours, bringing out what she did have and then, when none of those were the perfect size in the style he loved, she got on the phone and began calling other stores. After many calls and much time on the phone, Princey found the ONE pair of the jeans in his size that Mack loved at one of the other LL Bean locations - the one pair left in the US! She arranged for Mack to connect with Michelle at that store, pay for the jeans and arrange to have them shipped to our home. Very quickly, the jeans arrived. They fit PERFECTLY and they are the ones he loves and is happily wearing today. Princey pulled off a miracle! She is very special but also typical of the fabulous service Mack has always received at the Charlottesville LL Bean. We are very, very thankful for Princey's steadfast assistance and will always return to the Charlottesville LL Bean when we are looking for excellent quality clothing and the BEST SERVICE anywhere!! The lady was pleasant and welcoming, when measuring the arms, she made adjustment and recommendations then asked which way I wanted it. She even said that she wanted to ensure the alterations were what I wanted. I am due to pickup the altered jackets in a week, so I will update in a week.”

There are plenty of items to look at it in here - socks, quirky gifts, funny gifts, quilts, jewelry, and much more. Staff is friendly and we were greeted when we walked in the store. “I cannot even begin to describe what an amazing experience I had at this location. Customer service was EXEMPLARY. I walked into the store with the idea that there would be nothing for me in my size to try on. As my partner was trying on clothes I started asking someone I think her name was Britney! (sp?) about their jean sizing. She was so warm and kind. I was so uncomfortable and nervous--as I have not tried to buy jeans in years as I am so hard to fit in jeans being plus sized and having a smaller waist and bigger butt and thighs. She was so patient and knowledgeable and figured out some options in store I could try on! After a couple different pairs we found some that were perfect! And so comfortable. She helped me SO MUCH even just going over what I can look for moving forward with sizing and ordering online! I was there with my partner and his mom and we all left in jeans because of her and the awesome team! They made me feel so special and had no idea what that meant to me as someone who has ALWAYS dreaded trying on clothes ESPECIALLY jeans and bathing suits LOL. My partners mom was nervous to try on more modern jeans and with Britney and my encouragement found such a stylish pair in her correct size (she thought her size was larger and Britney helped find the perfect fit!). While Britney was helping us my partner was being helped by their INCREDIBLE style consultant. They were so helpful and my partner found a perfect pair of jeans with their help. There was another employee who was super sweet and helpful I just can't remember her name. PLEASE GIVE THESE PEOPLE A RAISE OR BONUS OR NEW CAR OR FREE VACATION THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND ON A BUSY SATURDAY!!!! I have not gotten customer service like that in YEARSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE, Finley and company :)”

I do not feel she is warm and friendly and many times I have walked past this store and not gone in when I see her there, she comes across cold and better than others. My guess is other customers feel this way. Bobbi with the beautiful black hair is really nice and friendly, she always makes customers feel great along with the rest of the staff.”

The prices are shockingly decent, and they have a TON more options than you would ever think. What really sold me was the daily postings of outfits they put together out of the vintage, designer, and/or local brands that they get in on a weekly basis.
