“All I can say is WOW!! I went there for a group event and we had so much fun. We also had a chance to do some exercises with boxing sets. Even though I'm disabled, I was not gonna let this stop me from at least trying it out.??The coach who worked with me was amazing and I was able to sit down and punch the sparing padded gloves he had on. I was able to box for about 15/20 mins before I had to stop. It was so HARD!! Lol!! But I'm so glad I got to try! It's definitely a great workout and a great way to let some frustrations out too! Lol!Not sure if I'm going to join (YET) because of some limitations I have, but this is definitely something I want to work up too doing for sure! The boxing coaches are so nice too! They showed us the correct stance. Lots of fun and plenty of exercise! If you want a place to exercise but with boxing, THIS is the place to go! Here is a picture of some of our group using the punching bag.”

I've been to dozens of CrossFit gyms across the US and overseas but none made me feel like home more than Compound CrossFit.I was in town for a few weeks for worked and needed a gym to go to.The first time I walked in the door I felt like family. Sara and Mike took time to talk to me about the gym and even got me in on the workout right then and there.Fantastic programing, attentive coaches, friendly members, and a well equipped facility.I couldn't ask for more.”

“The local PF have a great staff that’s very supportive and willing to assist their customers. The staff do their best to clean and sanitize every equipment and locker rooms. Also, provide the customer with paper towels and sanitizer spray to clean off equipment once we are done using it. Outstanding PF staff! Keep up the outstanding work!”

“Honestly a great gym! The crowd that goes here is pretty great and overall a decent environment. Like that they have cardio in a whole different area then the lifting and machines not all bunched together. Great layout of the gym. Only thing I could complain about is I wish they had two smith machines instead of one. Sucks having to wait over and over for people to use it. And possible a few more leg machines, I mean there are 3 same quad extension machines could substitute one or two for a different machine leg wise. Other than that great gym with decent workout hours!”

“The Greenbrier Family YMCA is one of my favorite places to work out! It's affordable, which is a win because I feel like many gyms charge ridiculous prices these days. But here, you get so much for what you pay! They have tons of classes at a variety of times. My go-to's are kettlebells and Tabata--they're such killer workouts but in the best way. One of the things I love most is that the instructors actually do the workouts with you, which is so motivating. Plus, they're super helpful if you need modifications--they just want you to feel good and do your best. And even though this is one of the smaller YMCAs, the vibe is always friendly and welcoming. Just a heads-up, though--weekend classes can get pretty packed, so I recommend showing up early if you want to grab a good spot! I look forward to my workouts here, and it's such a great community. Whether you're a total fitness newbie or a gym rat, there's something here for everyone.”

He not only teaches you everything you need to know, but he works around your budget and recommends affordable supplements. Scheduling is easy and he works around your schedule. “Love the gym, they just need more ab machines than just two. Other gyms have several. Also, the way they adjustable seats are for one of the ab machines, you are likely to fall as soon as you sit on it because it doesnt get very secure. So really it's only one ab machines.”

“If you’re looking to help build your child’s confidence and coordination – then swimming lessons at the YMCA (Great Bridge/Hickory) is highly recommended! In just a couple of months we have seen growth and progress in our 5 year old swimmer, who is non-verbal and a twin. He has learned to reach, “blow bubbles”, turn on his back, built up strength to climb out of the pool (which is a very important for pool safety) just to name a few positive experiences. All the instructors are great, especially Ms. Lori! She is patient, fun, knowledgeable, and communicates with ease. We are lucky to have found such a great organization.”

“Nice cozy gym with the added perk of not being crowded. Not a lot of people there so me and my trainer are able to use all gym equipment. The trainers are great! My trainer Paul giatti is knowledgeable about which exercises work best and is able to help you with diet.”
