“Thank you to food lion! They got my birthday cake for my sons party done in the 48 hour time frame they promised. It was delicious and looked exactly like what I asked for. Walmart was too busy to do it. So glad I went here instead. The cake tasted better and looked better than what walmart does. Shop here all the time anyway. Employees are nice. Store is clean. No issues.”

“I have no idea with the other review is about. I know the owner and he's a simple man, never curses or disrespects customers. If you are causing a problem then that is when he will ask you leave. Despite the outside appearance, its a good store and I always get my gas here.”

“We brought a large crew here on a Sunday afternoon figuring we could beat the lunch rush. Well, we were the rush! They had room for us all and even though they had only one waitress and cook, and the lady running the gas station register chipped in too, they got the orders and had us served pretty quickly. Food was great and I don’t think we had any issues at all. Pizza, burgers, Philly cheesesteak…everything was great!”

“It's always a pleasure to shop here. Food prices are high all over. The store is clean and well organized. They have included some self checkout which I didn't use but for some it saves time.”
“They have smokies!! Yeah the hotdogs man I swear I'm addicted to the smokies and the other foods are just as good my wife like the burgers a great place to stop and grab lunch when in the area and I swear you won't be disappointed”
“We stop here atleast once a month on the way to Madison Hieghts. We use the bathroom and I buy corn nuts. We also stop because we know the bathrooms aren't that bad and they have the snacks we want.”

“I have been shopping at Dollar General for quite some time. The store on Piney Forest Rd had really gone down hill. There is a new Manager there now and she has really fixed the store up. She has great displays and there are no containers full of boxes. She is very friendly and always eager to help. I really enjoy shopping there now. You should be very proud of her and the store.

“Close to where I live so its very convenient!! I like the people that work there. One evening when I came in, the young African-American male employee was helping an elderly gentleman with his shopping. I just thought that was so sweet and above & beyond what was required of him!”
“This is a nice Dollar General. It's a very old store so it is still in a plaza and looks like it hasn't been refreshed since the late 90s. Other than it looking a little dated, it's clean, well stocked and not much clutter. Staff are typically nice.
Highly recommended!”

“I visit them for fuel whenever I don't want to stop at a major retailer. They're not as crowded as that particular fuel station that's part of a hypermarket. Service at Valero is satisfactory.”

“I saw Tickle from moonshiners in here I was with my girlfriend who was at home 3 year boy who I didn't father but I'm raising as my own of course. Tickle walked by smiled at him and waved. Latee when we go to the register he said "That boy sure looks like his mama cause he damn sure don't look like you" I laughed he was always my favorite on that show as for dollar general I go for 2 reasons it's close or if I'm to lazy to go in Walmart.”
