“It's a ok place to go and has like a convenience store type setting in my aspect. I do not shop here often just because to me the atmosphere is kinda slow and anyplace that let's there staff sit at a register and almost all the time you have only one line open to about 15 people or more waiting to pay to get out and just makes people wanna drop what they have and leave. This company needs a new strategy I think but that's me. I'd rather pay the extra few bucks to get in and get out and have the same attitude but the employees lol”
“The staff in here is always super friendly. They had a car crash into the front of the building not too long ago, and it wasn't too bad. They cleaned up and made it safe for all the customers, and it got fixed super quick.They always have the "off the wall" items you wouldn't find at normal chain convenient stores, which is nice. They serve food here too, and the prices are pretty fair, the food is pretty good. Glad to have this local to me.”

“I went there with my daughter, to get some meats, because she likes buying meats there. They have pretty good prices on most of their meats. She stays away from the ones that are frozen, and she doesn't buy other items from there because they are priced too high!”
“Staff is friendly and they always have my medicine in stock. But not having a drive through is ok but a little inconvenient mostly to elderly people or disabled people. Overall it's great.”

“This food lion is the best. There are no self check outs but that is what makes it great. It seems like because there isn't any self check outs people seem to avoid this place. But that keeps it stocked. If I ever need something near a holiday I go here because this store stays stocked up.”
“Store had what I went for. Busy time of evening but lines moved quickly. It was the evening before July 4th. The cashier was very pleasant. Even smiled, loaded my cart, which is not always the case and did a very good job all the way around.”
“Petersburg Food Lion the Deli lady ways waiting on me. Over the loud speaker they called her to the back of the store 3 times. I said to her after the second time go ahead and check what they need. I'll wait. She said It will take to long. That she didn't want to make me wait. Then another coworker walked by looking at the deli. Well if he has extra time on his hands! He could of picked up what was in the back for the deli lady! I shop at your store because you have excellent customer service! I wanted management to know she took care of her customer first.”

“I work here so I may be biased but I love this location. My coworkers are awesome and almost always have a smile to go with their great customer service. Management is fair and friendly. Plus we have great deals in meat department.. DAILY as well as a well stocked produce dept. My only complaint is that they have discontinued my favorite milk and nothing else compares to Nature's Promise Organic grass fed whole milk. Please bring it back!”
“I am at this Food Lion OFTEN for pick up orders - for work and for home. The shoppers/runners for pick-up orders have been great. Friendly, quick with a couple of exceptions, and they get me on my way in a reasonable amount of time.
If there is an issue at pick-up and I have to call or go IN the store, that is another matter. The phone/internet system in the store apparently has been messed up for years and continues to be so.
Calls to the store about your pick-up when you've been waiting an extended amount of time go unanswered, the extension for the pick-up says it's not in service and try again.
Customer service will claim you either didn't call because the phone didn't ring or blame it on the phones not working. Internet prevents you from communicating directly with the pick-up people. If you know your store has issues, please fix it. *NOTE: I have not interacted with ALL customer service at this store, only two, and I had the same experience with both, so my review is specifically in regards to those interactions and does not reflect on anyone else that may work there in that capacity.
Otherwise, selection is good, cashiers, pick-up people, even delivery orders, I'd give good marks!”

“This was an amazing find for my wife and I. I was hungry, told wife to pick. I mentioned Deli so she chose Ettrick Deli. I'm not lying. The Chicken Bacon Ranch Hot sub was the best hot chicken sub I've ever had. For real you guys. We'll be going back for sure! The burgers look amazing too! Good prices good portions as well. Get over here and get you some good grub! 5 🌟 Stars!”
“Very friendly community store! Great meat prices and the young ladies who work there have the best personalities and great to talk to. You can play the Virginia Lottery and get most of your grocery needs. I recommend this store it has been open for a few decades in Petersburg. Support your community stores!”

“The owners and workers all go above and beyond to personalize your experience and demonstrate genuine enthusiasm and intrigue about gaining feedback so they can deliver better products and services. They have a great selection of products, from snacks, beer, smoking products, slushies, gas, hot food, games, and more. The only reason it's not a 5 star is because the prices are a bit high on groceries, however they got a great price for beer and cigs. It's truly a staple of Grafton and a legendary place with a legendary crew.”

“This is a very small store in comparison to other Dollar General stores, however, they do keep the shelves stocked and with many things you cannot find anywhere else! The prices on alot of things are much cheaper than other stores too. The employees always greet me and are helpful should I need it. The reason for the four stars is because the store, always, appears to be cluttered and this is due to the size along with an abundance of stuff!”

“Exxon is a great truck stop located in dinwiddie Virginia. It is located off of the interstate. They have great prices on gas and cigarettes. You can buy beer here. You can buy snacks and chips. They also sell lottery tickets. There is a KFC inside of Exxon. They have excellent food. I highly recommend Exxon.”

Great selections - best Deli and produce. Love the black grapes! Great meat selections and frozen foods. Love the green and red peppers. Try the deviled egg potato salad. Yum, Yum! Wondèrful meat selections; london broil roast and delicious pork chops. Prices are the best at the Commissary when you do a comparison price check with other local stores. The Commissary is my grocery store where I shop each week.”
