“It was my first time staying at this IHG and upon walking into the lobby I was amazed at the beautiful decorations for the hoidays. The front desk lobby area and guest lobby was very festive with snowmen, snowflakes, a nutcracker and a tree with backdrop for photos.
With it being the largest Holiday Inn in the US, I thought the hallway areas were very clean, as were the rooms. The breakfast in the morning accommodated the large number of guests, and the business area was very helpful in completing assignments. The staff in the morning were very friendly to chat with while getting breakfast and the 24hr access to coffee and tea were great to have, especially in the winter.
There are multiple gyms, some a big small and crowded but still nice to have. The laundry rooms were usually open, despite the large number of guests. I appreciate the free laundry, especially since my stay was 3 weeks.
Parking was tricky to find, and sometimes I had to park across the street but it was not a far walk. I did arrive after 1am, so something to keep in mind if you have large bags.
The commissary and PX were a 6 minute drive, but it would be a far walk. Luckily the hotel lobby had a nice variety of snacks and drinks for purchase, along with frozen meals. Self service checkout seems convenient (thought I did not use it during my stay)
One unique thing is the pub that is located on the first floor, along with the evening socials. That is something I have never seen and thought it set this hotel apart from others.
The hotel manager was very nice about listening to my concerns about a lost package delivery as well as housekeeping my room. I appreciate the quick response to address my concerns and despite this experience I would consider staying here again.”

“The customer service was top notch. Wonderful staff!! Breakfast was good and had lots of options.
The only downfall is that the pool has been out of service for years. They shouldn't put there is a pool if its not usable by paying guests.
Also, just a tip to maybe put a trash can with ashtray by side door so that people dont throw trash or cigarette butts around the picnic table and parking lot.”

“I just wanted to take a minute to show some real love to the team at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Chester. My stay was honestly way smoother than I expected, and that’s thanks to the people at the front desk.
First, Jason — bro was on point from the moment I walked in. Super welcoming, professional, and just has that calm energy that makes you feel taken care of. He made check-in quick and easy, answered every question without making it feel like a bother, and kept the vibe positive the whole time.
And to the night audit Tjaye you were amazing too. Your patience, your kindness, and the way you handled everything late at night really stood out. Not everybody working overnights keeps that level of energy and understanding, but you definitely did.
Overall, the staff made the stay feel comfortable, safe, and appreciated. That’s rare these days. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area. ???”

“This was such a great stay on so many levels. There is food in walking distance, plenty of parking, very clean hotel and the staff was very kind. I was there during a wedding and an AAU bball tournament at check in and still and enjoyed my stay.. I like quiet lol.. so I was nervous at first! But it actually turned out really great to see the wedding goers and the bball players energy. I still got my work done and still had peace and quiet when I needed it.”

“I came to Candlewood Suites with a husband newly diagnosed with terminal cancer and a 10 year old cat. Cheryl, Jasmine and every member of the staff here have gone above and beyond to make this nightmare of a time bearable. When you are away from home and need angels in human form, you will find them here. If this was just a normal vacation, I would recommend highly. The rooms are clean with good sound proofing, nice appliances and comfortable bedding. Within walking distance, there are plenty of fast food, as well as sit down restaurants, a food store, and department store.”

“We were spending the night at this Hampton Inn, which I prefer due to pasts stays at other Hampton Inns. I like the rooms and overall quality. Breakfast was good, a small western omelettes.
The only issue was the squirrelly directions from the GPS to the hotel, but that's not their issue.”

“Great location, clean rooms with a very nice and very functional kitchen for any type of extended stay. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Great water pressure, nice kitchen sinks, dishwashers and refrigerators. Understand there is a busy railroad line that runs behind the hotel. When you are in your rooms on the backside of the hotel you hear it a little but I dont feel it's disrupting. When j stayed on the Frontline of the hotel I didn't hear them at all. The lication has a lovely metal gazebo in the back with two nice grills for cooking.”
“People at front desk at first was a little standoffish, but after getting to know them a couple of weeks they were great. The lady that takes care of the rooms was really a awesome lady. If my job takes me back to that area I will stay again. I say again they were great people.”

“I am very impressed with the improvements budget has made recently. The best thing for me was there are NO ROACHES!!! that made me the happiest women EVER! There is not a single low priced motel in this or the surrounding areas that is not infested with roaches. The building looks so much better in the blue they painted it and even the rooms had their minor repairs and upkeep done.great job best inn I think u r one of the best low end motels in the Petersburg area along with motel 6 and super 8. The Price has gone up slightly but in these times it's understandable.i would def.recommend”

“You really have to pay attention to find it. While the Hampton Inn sign is on the corner where you turn, it is actually behind the giant Comfort Inn in a quiet cul-de-sac. The room was great. The staff was courteous and professional. The breakfast was good as well. I would not recommend if traveling with children (No Pool, Gameroom, etc.). But for couples or business travelers, it is quite nice.”
