TL:DR - Hiring process is crap and annoying to deal with, Hispanic section is good, and their donuts are AMAZING.
Come here AT LEAST for the donuts, fr worth it.
8 of my friends (9 including me) never got any kind of response when we applied to work here, plus the managers always seemed to mysteriously unavailable to be spoken to.
I've literally called the store, got told to call back the next morning, called the next morning, "Manager on vacation" :/
when will they be back? " X date." Thanks so much.
Called back on X date, "She'll be here tomorrow morning" thanks.
Calls back tomorrow morning, "Hi, not here. Call again tomorrow morning."
At which point I came INTO THE STORE to speak with this elusive hiring manager, just to be told that they were on vacation and won't be back for a while.

So suffice to say, hiring process seems messy, outdated, unreliable, and flat out non-functional at times.
The website needs to be updated, the employees need proper customer service training because regardless of what I'm calling about, and who's answering, it's always in a tone that sounds like I might aswell be interrupting a neurosurgeon mid incision.
The only redeeming quality of this store is what it sells, and I'm not talking standard groceries.
Not only does Shoppers have a decent spread of hispanic foods, ingredients, drinks & snacks, but it's also got some of, if not THE BEST donuts you could buy from a store.
The donut chains like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme got nothing on SFW donuts, they got Croissant donuts (Cronuts), marble iced, Holland Creme (my favorite), jam filled, lemon pudding filled, boston creme, and of course all your standard donut types like powdered, brown sugar, plain and glazed, not to even mention some specialty ones they have on occasion like the apple pie filled brown sugar, or marbled icing cronuts.
Plus they're reasonably priced, which automatically raises the rating for me.

“My first time in this particular Giant and I have to say that the layout is lovely. Walking straight in and having the produce right in front of you is a 'fresh' approach and motivates the customers to consume happily and healthy. The healthy stars is highlighted well and the walk around the perimeter doesn't take long and the aisles are nicely neat and well labeled to help guide your trip. It only took one trip around the store to get a strong feeling for where everything is and the cashier and clerks were very friendly and helpful. I went thru Lucindas line and she was able to repack my Earthwise bag so I could fit some other of my belongings there too. It made my day. Thank you, Giant, and more over, Lucinda, for taking the upmost care and diligence with not just me, but everyone before and after me in line.”
“My family has spent thousands and this store but after this experience no more. They refuse returns even in a case of them covering up the expiration date with their own sticker showing a different expiration date. The meat was likely spoiled when it was purchased and had a really bad smell a couple days later when it was opened. Their stocker shows a sell by date still a couple days away! Everyone in line was shocked how the store manager initially refused to refund it but decided to make a one time exception. Extremely poor customer service and even worse deliberately selling expired products.
*the grocery manager reached and and shared they are going to be retraining and hopefully will make sure it doesn’t happen again. I’m glad someone at the store is taking food safety seriously.”

“The attendants are very friendly and work hard to keep the station and trash cans clean. The prices are usually 25 cents lower than most retail station in the area I appreciate this benefit of Sam’s Club. This works for my family considering the miles we put on our cars.”

“I did at first give them a 1 star review, but they have greatly improved. I had 2 good experiences after that.
I was once urgently needing to get some beetroots. The Asian gentleman working their did not understand much English, but he had me speak into his phone with a translator app and then understood and took me to where the were. I also received good service from Fatima.”

“I don't have a lot of prescription needs, but whenever I do go in to Neighborhood Pharmacy, I am greeted name, which is amazing. They help with costs by applying coupons which I would not know about, and treat me like a valued customer. Even though I moved "across the river", I still use NP as my primary pharmacy. I've never had such great service anywhere else.”
